  1. Most of these are not mine, they are from the thread about the trumpet shaped spaceship. They are also useful for any band related conversation. You know what, don't read these, read the thread: You had an opportunity to make a decent ship, but you blew it. You've got some brass, saying that. Finally, someone noticed. I was beginning to wonder if anyone could reed. Nah, I'm a trombone player. I'll let errors like that slide. Please stop... these puns scaled too quickly. You don't like puns? No problem, we'll just need more staff on the moderation team. Noted. I agree. Everyone's going to get into treble for this. It almost seems like you can't Handel the situation. Nice, but I bet with a bit of work I could trumpet. Sadly, in space, nobody can hear you jam. If the scaling continues, we'll hit A major catastrophe. And then we'll B in treble. I guess humor is not your forte. My guess is pia-NO. I wonder if the trumpet has good aero-DYNAMICS. We should stop before he loses his tempo. If I think of any more puns I'll be Bach. Let's hope he doesn't get band for making all these puns. Cello, everybody. That comment is completely bassless. Better cut it out or you'll get into treble. He may be tooting his own horn here... A small note to those who want to scale back the humor: Don't use that tone with us, and people who try to do their own flat humor are about as clef-er as the last pun I said. So if they want to give us major setbacks, what can they do? They can't get us in treble, and it's not like they have enough staff that care. Pff, retarde-s. Just not measuring up, is it? Go take a minuet to consider and see if you can Handel it then. Well I didn't mean to harp on about it. It was purely accidental: I didn't want to harm-ony one! I'm only A minor! Oboe-y! This is gonna be fun! I see you finally decided to enter the action, huh? Well, here's a small note: now that you are in concert with my plans, I will try my best to turn these puns up an extra step, I'm gonna whammy the hell out of you. It's time to pickup the pace. I'd call this a good bassline for any instrument shaped craft. If you'd crash this thing, you'd B-flat! This thread's been a real trill. "What have I begun?" The first measure. We really need to scale back these jokes. You can't wah me with that single measly pickup you had going on there. Quit fretting about the amount of puns we have here. We will only turn the volume up. Look, guys, not to crash the party, but I think we need a rest from these puns. I'll bet you baroque that thing tons of times before it finally flew. ODEar. What has this thread become? You need A sharp wit to make puns. It's like a broken record.
  2. Saturn. In fact, this will almost certainly never happen, but I would be SO HAPPY if OPM was made stock, along with planet 9 and a submercury. I'd go back to playing RO/RP-0, but my Cassini analogue is still three years away from Saturn...
  3. Two things: If you're on the field the ISS will probably not be visible due to the super bright lights. The progress was delayed, it won't launch until tomorrow morning (I'm assuming your game is tonight), unless a Progress is undocking.
  4. I wish I could have seen Rockot. I haven't seen one yet. But unfortunately the next 3 or so launches are all around 3AM for me...
  5. KebalEDU: Suggestions and Development discussion: And: Console tech support: (Because there will be a fix soontm)
  6. I don't have much experience in this area, but maybe I'll be able to help a little bit. Step 1. If you are in school, ensure that the school bell will not ring embarrassingly in the middle of the conversation. Step 2. Take a deep breath. Step 3. Count to 3 (or count down to 0, whichever you like). Step 4. Begin a natural conversation. "Hey, *insert name,* how are you doing today?" Step 5. Carry on conversation. Step 6. At the end of the conversation, say "have a nice day" or something along those lines, and nicely say bye. I usually get stuck on step 5, though. That's really the hard part. In short, it's a conversation. It's not like the world will end due to a subpar conversation. Take a breath, relax, and just talk! As far as actually asking her out, I'm not the one to ask about that because I have zero experience there (yay, I'm a space nerd). I don't know if your school has already had Homecoming yet, but at least at my school it really isn't that big of a deal even though to space nerds like myself it seems like this giant insurmountable hurdle. And, lastly, make sure she doesn't have a boyfriend or anything. That would be bad if you asked her out without knowing that she did have one. Good luck! *Disclaimer: I have next to no experience in this field.
  7. @TheEpicSquared Due to a fantastic change of events, I'm no longer going camping this weekend, so hopefully I'll be able to participate in the AMA! I suggest we both keep an eye on reddit, though, because knowing me I'll manage to be busy...
  8. No, unfortunately Elon was a little vague in his two word twitter post... Thanks, though!
  9. Hmm, that's also a way to go. Now that I think about it, they mentioned a bouncy castle but didn't say where it would be...
  10. And land them on giant bouncy castles eventually. Also the reddit AMA is going to be this weekend, except I'm going to be away this weekend. If any of you are online at the time of the AMA, could you ask Elon if SpaceX has talked to NASA about recovering the ISS using the BFR for study and use as a museum piece?
  11. WOOOHOOO! I was a bit nervous when they lost video, though. We also got to see a view of a sunset from orbit on one of the stage 2 cameras.
  12. Yeah, the main page at least is really squished to the left side of the screen for me, both on the school chromebooks and my home computer.
  13. After GTO launches they could give the grid fins to museums or something. If there's no demand for that, I'd take one and make a table out of it.
  14. A Progress launch is happening in a few days. According to SFN, it will use a new rendezvous procedure that will reach the ISS in only an hour and a half, down from the six hours (Fast Track) which was already a massive improvement from the few days it used to be. We're getting closer to one orbit rendezvous like in KSP!
  15. In a normal career game I do most Kerbin system missions by time warping and most interplanetary missions concurrently (and I've really only done interplanetary missions in career a few times). In normal sandbox I tend to do just one. In Project Intrepid, however, I have: A mothership on the way back from Duna A mothership with ten or more landers on the way to Jool An abandoned mothership around Moho which I may have future plans for A mothership en route to Eeloo Two motherships orbiting Dres A crew stranded on Eve A small ship going to Jool to build a space station Three miniships on their way to Duna A humongous 916 Kerbal spaceship on the way to Gilly A fleet of at least four ships on the way to Eve to rescue that stranded crew More I've probably forgotten about PI is unique because I'm sort of bound to a storyline and I "only" have 200 years before the world ends. However, in RO/RP-0 I have construction time which means I can't launch stuff fast enough to have more than one Earth system crewed mission going on at once (not counting the two space stations). I have sent interplanetary probes, about five active ones are currently en route. Once I send crew to other planets (if ever) they will run concurrently.
  16. Update on my RO/RP-0 mission, it has been a year and a half ish, and there are about 2.5 years left until it gets to Saturn. Actually, I launched a mostly identical one to Jupiter and that will actually get there first. It should be a valid test of Cassini's systems, seeing as the only difference is the addition of landing legs.
  17. @NSEP that would so be me if I actually possessed a newfangled cellular telephone device... But for me so far I guess the captions would be "Me inside while engaging in social interaction with a girl I like" and "Me inside if the conversation ends well." I'd like to add something to that, though: Me inside when the school bell rings right as I open my mouth to speak to her: Video with linked timestamp because the school internet blocks gifs.
  18. Like ALT+F5 (named quicksave) being right next to ALT+F4 (close the current window)? SO MANY TIMES!!!! GRRRR!!!!!
  19. The actual reason for the Delta III's weirdness iirc is that they wanted to take a Delta II core and put a hydrolox stage on top, but because of Hydrogen's low density it was incredibly impractical to make it the same diameter due to mass ratios, so they made it huge. It looked weird, so they took one of the first stage tanks and also hugefied it. It still looked weird, so they stuck a bunch of SRB's on it. It still looked weird. Another reason for the weirdness is so that it could be the same height as the Delta II so they could easily use the same launch facilities.
  20. Chapter 12 is about 70% complete, I just need the time to finish it.
  21. RUD's per Elon Time. EDIT: 1300TH POST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
