  1. MOAR SOLER SISTUMS!!! Name: OGG 788 915W B Age: 2.3 Billion years Mass: 2.15 Solar masses Diameter: 11.5 km Density: 6.71E+14 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: 20008o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.75 AU from the barycenter (Barycenter's SMa is 9901 Light-years.) Eccentricity of orbit: 0.0 Parent Body: Barycenter Inclination: 23o Type: Visible-light Pulsar (emits violet light BTW.) Rotation Period: 0.1 seconds Description: This pulsar is very old, and it's companion is starting to die, and as such is becoming bigger than it's roche lobe, so some of the material has spilled onto this pulsar, converting it's energy into rotational energy and speeding up the pulsar's spin. That means that this pulsar is very inefficient at keeping time, as it's spin is rapidly picking up speed. Name: OGG 788 915W A Age: 2.2 Billion years Mass: 1.08 Solar masses Diameter: 0.119 AU Density: 0.0898 kg/m3 Surface Temp.: 4290o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 1.25 AU from the barycenter Eccentricity of orbit: 0.0 Parent Body: Barycenter Inclination: 23o Type: Orange giant (Inbetween main sequence and red giant) Rotation Period: 1.83 years Description: The reason why this orange giant has the suffix "A" instead of "B" is because it was discovered first, because of it's massive luminosity which flooded the puny light from the pulsar almost competely. OGG 788 915W B was discovered because A had slight variations in it's brightness. Name: OGG 788 915W Ab Age: 1.9 Billion years Mass: 0.918 Earth masses Diameter: 6070 km Density: 5.85 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: 1536o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.278 AU from the barycenter Eccentricity of orbit: Varies from 0.03-0.29 Parent Body: OGG 788 915W A Inclination: 23o Type: Rocky Sub-Terran Rotation Period: 51.5 days Description: This planet is a strange one, as it exists where no planet should, in a close binary system orbiting one star. However, since the pulsar also affects it so often, it has an unstable eccentricity. We believe that this planet will plunge into it's star before the star enters the red giant phase and consumes it's planet and then gets stripped of it's mass faster and faster until it's smaller than it's roche lobe and poofs away until it becomes a red dwarf orbiting the pulsar.
  2. @Galacticvoyager, can you pubish the Mena system from earlier, too?
  3. UPDATE FOR THE HYDROX-KERLEEN SYSTEM: Pics of the stars! : http://imgur.com/a/xiOqO
  4. Here is my Kepler-47 analogue for the "Lonesome Stars" contest. I also wish for this to be a published system. Name: Hydrox Age: 5.5 Billion years Mass: 1.1 Solar masses Diameter: 853378 km Density: 840 kg/m3 Surface Temp.: 5517o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.0993 AU (From the barycenter. The barycenter's SMa is 12816 Light Years.) Eccentricity of orbit: 0.0 Parent Body: Hydrox-Kerleen Barycenter (Barycenter's Parent Body is nothing) Inclination: 18.4o Type: G2V Rotation Period: 31.9 days Description: Hydrox and Kerleen originated from the center of the galaxy, until they got too close to the central black hole. Luckily, Kerleen was not snatched from Hydrox, but all their planets were, and then the two shot off into the distance as hypervelocity stars. They are currently the fastest hypervelocity stars we know of, shooting off at 0.8891435724252677373674743385847889043% the speed of light. Name: Kerleen Age: 5.4 Billion years Mass: 524 Jupiter masses Diameter: 347750 km Density: 5.65 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: 3727o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.0993 AU (From the barycenter.) Eccentricity of orbit: 0.0 Parent Body: Hydrox-Kerleen Barycenter Inclination: 18.4o Type: M5V Rotation Period: 13 days Description: Kerleen and Hydrox originated from the center of the galaxy, until they got too close to the central black hole. Luckily, Kerleen was not snatched from Hydrox, but all their planets were, and then the two shot off into the distance as hypervelocity stars. They are currently the fastest hypervelocity stars we know of, shooting off at 0.8891435724252677373674743385847889043% the speed of light.
  5. What type of star is an "only" type? O? B? A? F? G? K? M? L? T? Y!? I NEED ANSWERS! (Though I would like to participate! )
  6. Also @Galacticvoyager, why haven't you accepted my civilization? I wanna know because I made it them awhile ago and it still hasn't been accepted.
  7. And another one. (Wait I just realized that I'm the only one making solar systems at this point. ) Name: Mena A Age: 3.74 Billion years Mass: 1.8 Solar masses Diameter: 12.2 km Density: 4.75E+14 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: 272385o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 100 AU (From the barycenter. The barycenter's SMa is 34000 Light Years.) Eccentricity of orbit: 0.2 Parent Body: Mena Barycenter (Barycenter's Parent Body is Nee'Kra) Inclination: 67o Type: Pulsar Rotation Period: 0.0058 seconds Description: The Mena system used to be a trinary system, with Mena A being separated into Mena Aa, which would become the pulsar we know today, and it's yellow dwarf companion, Mena Ab. One day, Mena Aa blew up in a gargantuan supernova, which pulverized the forming planets around captured star Mena B and reverted the star back to the beginning of accretion. Eventually, Mena Ab began to die, and become a red giant. Mena Aa, being a pulsar, started stealing the star's material, and it began to spin faster and faster, until it stopped getting faster because the companion had reverted to a planetary state. This newfound "planet" is now known as "Auneme". And to this day, Mena Aa (Now Mena A) continues to spin very fast. Name: Auneme Age: 3.41 Billion years Mass: 0.684 Earth masses Diameter: 5589 km Density: 5.59 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: 104o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.4 AU Eccentricity of orbit: 0.2 Parent Body: Mena A Inclination: 67o Type: Rocky Sub-terran Rotation Period: 68.6 days Orbital Period: 68.6 days Description: If you've read the description for Mena A, you'll know that this planet used to be a star. Now THAT'S cool! Name: Mena B Age: 1.87 Billion years Mass: 0.725 Sun masses Diameter: 460599 km Density: 3.52 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: 4596o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 100 AU Eccentricity of orbit: 0.2 Parent Body: Mena Barycenter Inclination: 67o Type: K5V Rotation Period: 16.4 days Description: The reason why Mena B is so much younger than Mena A is because this star was captured by Mena A's gravity, which was increased because Mena A was bigger and had a binary companion which eventually became Auneme. Name: Laavae Age: 1 Billion years Mass: 1.48 Earth masses Diameter: 6770 km Density: 6.78 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: 1282-767o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.0372 AU Eccentricity of orbit: 0.43 Parent Body: Mena B Inclination: 88.8o Type: Irony Super-terran Rotation Period: 3.08 days Orbital Period: 3.08 days Description: The first planet in the Mena B system, Laavae is named after it's extreme summer, when it's completely covered in lava. Laavae would have much cooler summers if it didn't have a thick atmosphere similar to Venus. Name: Vernust Age: 1.01 Billion years Mass: 1.31 Earth masses Diameter: 6992 km Density: 4.98 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: 22o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.5 AU Eccentricity of orbit: 0.0 Parent Body: Mena B Inclination: 67o Type: Rocky Super-terran Rotation Period: 1.99 days Orbital Period: 152 days Description: Vernust is a planet inhabited by sum really bad aliens. Like, so bad that they kidnapped most of the population of their neighboring planet Manno and de-terraforming it so the inhabitants, the Mofeku, couldn't have a home. What a bunch of jerks! Name: Nyth Age: 155 Million years Mass: 2.35 Moon masses Diameter: 1724 km Density: 8.05 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: -9.78o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 115624 km Eccentricity of orbit: 0.52 Parent Body: Vernust Inclination: 85.8o Type: Irony Moon Rotation Period: 3.93 days Orbital Period: 3.91 days Description: Nyth is a massive but very small moon orbiting the planet Vernust. The aliens living on Vernust commonly visit Nyth as a tourist attraction for it's interesting surface features and low gravity. Name: Manno Age: 995 Million years Mass: 2.2 Earth masses Diameter: 8112 km Density: 6.55 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: -199o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 0.736 AU Eccentricity of orbit: 0.0 Parent Body: Mena B Inclination: 67o Type: Rocky Super-Terran Rotation Period: 3.43 days Orbital Period: 271 days Description: Manno used to be habitable, kinda like Vernust except much more lively and diverse and with a much larger ecosystem. That is, until their neighbors at Vernust basically kidnapped most of the Mofeku and then de-terraformed the planet so the remaining couldn't live there anymore. Moral of the story is: Have defenses against aliens until they prove they are friendly. Name: Phobius Age: 58.1 Million years Mass: 0.179 Moon masses Diameter: 890 km Density: 4.39 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: -56o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 86509 km Eccentricity of orbit: 0.07 Parent Body: Manno Inclination: 67o Type: Rocky Moon Rotation Period: 2 days Orbital Period: 1.97 days Description: Phobius and Demmis were both formed during a massive collision with a neighboring planet, and it is believed that they will one day collide to form a much larger moon. Name: Demmis Age: 58 Million years Mass: 0.252 Moon masses Diameter: 843 km Density: 7.18 g/cm3 Surface Temp.: -116o Celcius Semi-Major Axis: 138961 km Eccentricity of orbit: 0.02 Parent Body: Manno Inclination: 67o Type: Irony Moon Rotation Period: 4 days Orbital Period: 4.02 days Description: Demmis and Phobius were both formed during a massive collision with a neighboring planet, and it is believed that they will one day collide to form a much larger moon. 8. Maybe you could have a really close in hot Jool, because most planet packs don't even consider it for some reason. Also the download is broken FYI.
  9. How does one do this? How edit Duna to have water (Not the mars one, though.)? Is it possible to edit Kerbin? I WANT TO KNOW THE SECRET BEHIND THIS! (Ok basically I'm a bad modder and I don't know how to do that.)
  10. Sure! I'm about to update this mod and make Varan more of a magenta color since that's more realistic for T-type brown dwarfs than a dark red BTW.
  11. THIS MOD ADDS A BROWN DWARF, A PLANET, AND A MOON TO THE GAME, AND IS SUPPOSED TO BE AN ADD-ON TO KUMAR'S DWARF STARS. ALSO, I GOT SPACEENGINE TO WORK AGAIN! YAY FOR ME! VARAN: Varan is an old, 11 billion year old T6 Brown dwarf orbiting Kerbol. We've only just recently discovered it and it's planet. BERANA: Berana is Varan's only discovered planet, and it's yellow, like a banana! This gas giant is so old that it has no bands of color anymore, and it has one desert moon to go with it. AMPHAROS: Ampharos is a desert moon orbiting Berana, and is the only really active body in the system besides Varan, producing all that light and heat, mostly because all of it is caused by tidal heating from it's host planet and star, which causes volcanoes and atmosphereless dust storms! 12. 184: Do not change the skin color of kerbals using mods.
  13. Do you know how to move around planets, or do I need to ask GregroxMun?

Basically I want to move the planets around, actually have a story for why they are in different orbits, and change the planets themselves.

  14. 3: Eeloo, because it's JUST WHITE and it doesn't look like pluto! 2: Mun, I mean sure, they ARE keeping it realistic, but it just seems kinda bland. 1: Dres (And I swear to god I'm NOT trying to start the "Dres war" again!), kinda for the same reasoning for the Mun, but the only reason why I hate it SLIGHTLY more than the Mun, is just because it's further away from Kerbin, and as such is harder to get to.
  15. Please, I'm begging you, don't use the name "Kirius"! That name is waaay overused, seriously. Why not something like "Sirkius" or "Siriuk" or even "Kiriuk" (Those are kinda dumb names, so think of others. ) Anyways, I'm excited for this mod, since I like planet packs over parts packs.
  16. What happened to my followers?

(I know you didn't do anything, but I was just wondering. :P)

Well, the one of the sigmabinary barycenters don't work, but I think that one's just a programming issue.

I think we should take this to the KDS thread...

      For SCIENCE!

  17. Do NOT attempt to land Peter Griffin on the magic boulder. Ever. The resulting explosion will destroy the entire galaxy. And maybe the Laniakea Supercluster. Or possibly the entire universe, whichever you choose, the result is bad. So just, just don't do that, OK Tim?
  18. DO NOT under ANY circumstances let the magic boulder come into contact with itself for prolonged periods of time.
  19. Umm... I didn't really do a whole lot. :/
  20. Sorry, I want to make this as realistic as possible, so I don't think I'll add any new planets. Also, thanks!
