Okay this is a weird one, the settings.cfg shouldn't be able to cause something like this, it's writing so it can't be data execution prevention, and KSP isn't in a protected windows folder. You have some graphics, but then it might be bugging out on a shader that is in one part of the menu and not the other, so it's still worth checking for any updated drivers for your laptop before proceeding too far, it's not unknown for Windows updates to change/break things, necessitating new drivers. I suggest you check your power save options as well in case it's still using them even while plugged in, just being on mains is not a guarantee, there's definitely something preventing the card from working properly, trouble is finding it.

Hello Jetski, your output_log.txt is flooded with this line: I see your system reports a mobile Intel graphics card as well, do you have a built-in Nvidia or AMD card? If you do my guess is you're on a power saving mode, and your main card is off, if so you'll need to make sure the laptop is plugged in, it wouldn't hurt to update your graphics drivers either

If you read Teds post you'll see he says nothing regarding removal of the file for 1.0, he says "That was due to changes we made for win64."

This could be quite an important discovery, carbon containing molecules have been found in a proto-planetary disc, it's not life of course but could provide the first steps towards life. What makes this so interesting is that this could occur anywhere, meaning the chemicals processes needed for amino acids and maybe even RNA could occur throughout the universe. It could mean life, at least plant and maybe animal life, is a lot more widespread than we know.

The 64bit binary will be there, you just need to tell the Steam client to use it in the same way you're doing currently, by adding %command%_64 to the custom launch options

Nah, this thread happened because I had a ton of craft I wanted everyone to see, usually it's one thread stickied in each forum section I found something cool in, except addons as DJY likes to keep everything just so, there's modding mondays for that anyway.

Career in 0.90.0 is broken if you use the x64 executable by the way, so you have to use the 32bit exe, sandbox is not affected though.

Rune, the reusable booster really made the craft special in my opinion MajorJim, I didn't want to stick 7 posts in the SE as it'd be too much clutter, this thread is an extension of the TOTM because of that. The choices are a mix of what I thought stood out, not necessarily always the best or biggest, it's nice to mix in stuff that is cool but may have been overlooked

You could try this if installing software is really a problem, though 7zip is available as just an archive, no need to install

Because I couldn't choose which of my backlogged craft threads to stick, I'm putting the lot here, take a look -------------------- Foxster loves his rocket, and so do I, so I think you will too, it's a very 50's design and the only thing it's lacking is raygun toting space heroes and heroines wearing aluminium foil, facing off against Kerbals in rubber Kraken costumes -------------------- The old style not suit you? Then Dark Jim's Energia and Buran should be more to your liking, it's all stock, and very, very impressive. -------------------- I have wanted to feature this for ages, it's just too cute not to, Upsilon Aerospace has made what has to be the smallest shuttle in KSP, seriously this should be stock -------------------- Addon users rarely fail to impress with their ingenuity, Pandoras Kitten really impresses with this "Rotary-Winged VTOL Rocket with Free-Spinning Center Section, Inspired by Roton Rotary & Triebflugel" If I tried to say that too many times I'd be spinning just as much as this crafts center section -------------------- SpaceX keeps pushing the limits of what is possible with rockets, and Rune has made a decent version of the Dragon he calls the Dwagon, can you do better than SpaceX's landing computers? Find out! -------------------- Something a little off-beat now, Noorm has made a charming little monowheel rover, it's great for tearing around the KSC, and cheap on tires. -------------------- Finally, a true space ship, a space sailing ship, Adesters Flying Dutchman! Actually the waypoint manager has been causing several issues, it really wasn't a good idea to put even a fake ad in KSP. As for the "lol I'm a moderator", well, that's ending now, I'm glad you all had fun and it's been heartening to see how well everyone took it, and I have another year to think of something for next April 1st.
