  1. Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you like it. Also, I fully agree about Tantares. 'Tis an excellent mod.
  2. Project Utopia In this alternate timeline, the space race has taken on a different form, as focus has shifted away from moon landings. The launch of Salyut 1 by the Soviet Union has brought forth the question of control of near space and the fear of militarization thereof. To prevent this fear from materializing, the two super powers have agreed to collaborate in the construction of an orbiting research station. Not only will it allow for the furtherment of science, but also help each side keep tabs on the other and, hopefully, secure the balance of power. Thus, Project Utopia was born. Ok, so not much of a backstory, I know, but it does provide me with an excuse to build a space station in QSRSS, which is why I started this new game in the first place. I'm running KSP 1.2.2 in Science Mode, but with all technology researched via the cheat menu. Basically, I just want to be able to collect science while still playing sandbox style. The game itself is quite heavily modded, the main ones being QSRSS, BDB & Tantares. To make it a bit more challenging, I'm also using KCT, Dang It!, TAC-LS, MandatoryRCS and Orbital Decay. A full list is available in the spoiler below. Note that all dates will be given in Kerbal time format since this is not played in full size real solar system. Complete list of mods Episodes 1: Testing Hardware 2: First Rendezvous 3: Adopt and Adapt 4: Frictions 5: Trying Again 6: End of the Year 7: Back in Business 8: Exchanging Crew
  3. I've been using it with 1.2.2. Haven't noticed any problems yet, although I've been building mostly new crafts in a new save.
  4. With the darker nozzles, they look great. Like notJebKerman, I too use the thrusters on many non-Tantares crafts and the stockalike look makes them blend in nicely. That is awesome! Will the capsule have a working EVA hatch? I've written a config file for the old Vostok that adds an ejection seat via the Parachutes & Ejection Seats mod and would love to use it with your version, but it requires a hatch to function.
  5. I've had the alarm sound problem with previous versions. Will give this one a try in my 1.2.2 install.
  6. This mod I had totally forgotten about. Great to see that it's beeing maintained. Will add it to my new 1.3 install. By the way, the CurseForge link in the OP seems to be pointing to the wrong url (http://kerbal.curseforge.com/ksp-mods/230087-tarsier-space-technology-caretaker-release instead of http://kerbal.curseforge.com/projects/tarsier-space-technology-continued).
  7. That looks great! My poor cosmonauts are terrified of the current iteration I´m flying, after a number of not-so-successful test flights. Maybe this will calm their nerves a bit. Looking forward to seeing it completed.
  8. As minepagan said, the old version still works. For the Vostok build I posted here recently, I simply copied VOSTOK from the PARTS folder of the old download and placed it in the PARTS folder of my New Tantares install. You can grab the old version from the Spacedock link in the first post of the thread.
  9. Very much looking forward to that. Any chance of a periscope being added? In the meantime, I decided to put some old Tantares parts back in action (with a little help from Contares and EVA Parachutes & Ejection Seats). This is the result:
  10. Sweet! I can finally replace my old frankensteined escape system. Tested it out and found that an R-TGC Truss Segment and an upsidedown decoupler work fine as a spacer between the LES and the Soyuz.
  11. Absolutely, you´re welcome to use it. Here´s the follow up to Salyut 1. Having a blast flying these in QSRSS.
  12. Tantares has been a staple part of my gamedata folder ever since I startade playing KSP. It's great to see this new version taking shape. Here's my attempt at recreating the early Soyuz and Progress models. Still missing some details, such as the large Igla rendezvous antenna (which I'm hoping will make a return at some point). Also, ignore the Soyuz-T in the image. It's showing the wrong craft.
