  1. Officially it stands for Big Falcon Rocket, but yeah... yeah...
  2. I just slap an H fuel tank on top of the last K fuselage before the KH cargo bay.
  3. This is exactly why I always theme my action groups. For example, 0 is my "up and running" group. Everything from antennas to life support goes on 0. Once I hit space 0 comes on, once I hit atmosphere 0 comes off. If I want to keep something active, I make sure it's set to "on" and not "toggle" in the action group.
  4. I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS! *it's the end of the world as we know it...*
  5. @JadeOfMaar I believe he was referring to stock control surfaces not fitting well.
  6. @CatastrophicFailure, that's one of the 8 stupid mistakes every KSP player does according to @ShadowZone, which I can honestly say I've done all 8 of them
  7. ... when you try to use time warp while watching the live feed from the ISS
  8. Couldn't help but notice what looks like Orion's Belt up there
  9. This is what I do, however last time I updated, I had 3 different mods interacting to create the problem. It took f o r e v e r .
  10. I haven't had time to play for the last couple of months. Will let you know once I have a chance to give it some decent play time.
  11. @Whisky Tango Foxtrot pretty sure it's level 3. I don't think you can put the "cut chute" action into an action group though, but I'm like 30 miles away from my computer, so I cant check and could be wrong.
  12. Because the Rapier is based off of the real-life Sabre engine which uses near-liquid compressed air as oxidizer. The Sabre is dual-mode only in that it would switch to on-board oxidizer once it could no longer get enough from the air, there is no change in the engine portion itself. If the compressor part Gordon wants to make is producing Ox, it's more like the real thing and the Rapier could then be more like the real thing by simply drawing Ox from on-board tanks once the compressor can't keep up with the demand. I am also aware that I could simply choose not to use the "air breathing" mode, I was just curious.
  13. I'll take a look, thanks! I did notice my namesake on there too by the way
  14. Is there a way to disallow the Rapier its air-breathing mode in lieu of your compressor?
  15. @JadeOfMaar thanks bro I may try to play with the design a bit, if you don't mind
  16. @JadeOfMaar sorry I'm I little late in responding, but in regards to the sabre engine, I am really fascinated by it. It is one of a handful of things that I try to keep tabs on or research in my fleeting moments of spare time. There are a couple of technical questions I have about the design that, as of yet, I can't find the answers to. Overall, I really wish that ksp modeled aircraft engines a bit differently. In fact, I think @Gordon Fecyk's idea on intake air is great for the rapier. It would fit alongside my idea of how ksp engines should work quite nicely.
  17. That's essentially what a Rapier is. It's based on this which uses compressed air as oxidizer while in atmo: https://www.reactionengines.co.uk/sabre/
  18. Only once, and it was recently. It was made extra difficult as I use the persistent rotation mod and my craft was in a tumble without power when I had to get out and push.
  19. @Julien Kerman your progress has been very fun to watch. I'm always impressed with the folks who play RSS/RO (someday I'll give it a shot). I look forward to seeing what you do with Mars, especially in relation to the timeline
  20. @JadeOfMaar I would love to know how that thing performs in 2.5x
  21. Just in case you didn't get this sorted, it sounds like you didn't install the textures. I've made that same mistake myself. If you check out the OP, just under the GPP Download link, there is another for GPP Textures Download. If you did try that, I can only recommend re-downloading and making sure you follow the install instructions exactly. Beyond that is beyond me.
