  1. Nah, I still use the same ones. Unless I am using headphones and trying to read something, I always enjoy the music... That why it would be nice for it to start from the beginning...
  2. This game has great music... But I swear, since around 1.2~ish the music in the VAB doesn't start from the beginning. That is about a third of the track missed each time... Sometimes, even two tracks will play at the same time... Mostly a minor complaint, but it has been around for a while. Surprised they hadn't fixed it yet.
  3. Okay I am back working on it... I really needed a break. Steam summer sales happened, and then... Subnautica. Need I say more? Big Joe 1 is basically done, I am going to work continually on project mercury from now on.
  4. Ouch... you really need good gimbal with large rockets... I've had to abort twice. Fortunately I was using space shuttle engines, but I put major gimbals limits on it as I though I didn't need that much...
  5. How come the sciency engineers in the VAB have the doors wide open then? They aren't in suits...
  6. Armed with this new knowledge, I go forth to them moon! If my rocket doesn't fall apart due to staging glitches...
  7. Oh I know, I just didn't have the right altitude offhand... and I accidentally jettisoned the retro-rocket before I could change it Here is the rocket:
  8. 50K was my pe. Splashdown as I am writing this. I had a heat shield though. I meant it wasn't fun as in it ate through ablator. About 200-ish. My rocket wasn't really good, it was just to test the concept. But I will still screen shot it. That reminds me... When I first did KSP... and I returned from orbit I used extra fuel to burn and slow myself down... I never realized that you could pod the command pod off and that would be fine... All those hours struggling to get it work that way... lol
  9. At this moment I am slowly descending from my first "Good" orbit... yay? Bill Bob and Valentina are pretty toasty... I used minimal delta V to deorbit so re-entry is not fun.
  10. I purposely look up "NASA is fake" websites to see their arguments... One guy just said "We went to the moon in the 1969. But not the space shuttle only goes to low earth orbit and we are in the 2000's. Why is NASA's technology going backwards? It isn't. It is all a lie!" Uh... the budget is the thing that is going backwards... Another guy also kept calling apollo 11 apollo 13. How am I supposed to take you seriously if you can't even say the right name?
  11. So they truly are ore advanced! No wonder they can revert flights effortlessly!
  12. Wasn't trying to make it look like I was hard on myself... I was putting this up in a humorous tone... I was just surprised that I only have learned about it yesterday.
  13. The tutorials are certainly better in 1.1 I would probably take half of my science equipment back anyways, as I am that type of guy. Even if it is super cheap...
  14. Wait... you can collect you science data? I don't play career mode often enough so I don't use science too much, but still... WAIT! No wonder I can't get the stock space shuttle in orbit... That makes a lot of sense now. xD
  15. When is a good time to do the gravity turn? I have started doing it when the atmosphere marker drops to the darkest blue.
  16. I am approaching 450 hours in KSP. I have accomplished many achievments... I have: landed on the moon... once (I never returned because I can't dock a lander to an orbiter... I was going to land again, but my new heavy lifter rocket was super glitchy for some reason. Testing the stages seperate it would have had enough delta V to go there and back... Possible even to minmus.) Made a plane that goes suborbital with only jet engines recreated Apollo 11 Made a rocket to carry my Saturn V rocket into orbit (WHILE it is thrusting down!) And I have never once orbited correctly... Apparently there is such thing as a "gravity turn..." Normally I would just rocket until my apogee is above 70 km, wait until I am near the apogee, and then thrust prograde to orbit. It worked, but turning the rocket 90 degrees was a little irritating. (Usually I needed vernier engines or a LOT of RCS for heavy rockets) I don't know how I learned to orbit this way, but today marks the day I will do my first (correct) orbit...
  17. ...Wow... xD Were you one of the ones we put in space?
  18. XD Wow... I resurrect my Kerbals though! My kerbals rarely die normally. Mostly the game crashes mid flight... and when I load the game I found they crashed to their doom... Is that a Tardigrade for your profile picture?
  19. I really like this feature. Docking is normally done be amazing computer programs... However since you have an actual human being doing this, you had to make a compromise. ISRU is very unrealistic. Mining enough material with those tiny drills and then easily turning it into fuel isn't as easy as they make it look. The only other alternative is setting up a bunch of orbital refueling stations around planets... (Which I find isn't a terrible idea. I am considering doing a play-through without ISRU once I am really good at docking). The RAPIER engines we are actually close to (unlike KSP quality ISRU) and we are pretty sure that it will work. Skylon, the space plane it is going to be made for, is set to be used 2025.
