  1. Heh heh heh... Funny that you mention the good \'ol ????????.... I managed to fit on a pair of the PPCs from Yorik and a rack of Wasps from the C7 pack, and get it to the Mun.... now if only I could figure out a way to get the old Soviet camouflage pattern onto this without it looking like crap.... BTW, would it be possible to fit in a 'Functional' cargo bay? Something I could open and close and somewhere I could secrete away a satellite (or bomb) until I feel the need to launch (or explode) something?
  2. You sir, are a sadist... I LIKE it! The only problem I can see is that the more 'Purist' amongst us will disapprove of the inevitable 'hey look guys! I got a office building onto the Mun!' screenshots, but I for one will have a jolly good time trying to get it to the Mun without hacks.
  3. ...why are you not using MediaFire for the download?
  4. Rapidshares screwed, it wants me to join up and crap before it\'ll let me download the file; can you use mediafire instead?
  5. its a amazing design, no? I have a hard enough time landing a space shuttle, but with this as long as I don\'t clip a mountain or drag a wing, I can usually do a belly first landing and not explode and die as I skid to a stop. Its clearly designed for Kerbin usage, when I try it on the Mun, even with Mechjeb\'s help and burning all the way, I still manage to catch a wing or the engines when landing about half the time; without a helpful atmosphere to slow the rapid spinning that occurs when said engine/wing explodes, it usually means my \'nauts have anywhere from a minute to 5 minutes (memorable experience that one... I managed to bounce a 100Km from where I crashed!) left to live....
  6. Heh. I had this scene in mind when I saw the Elevator... Bob: 'Hey Jeb, this elevators taking a LOT longer than usual to get to the cafeteria. Will: 'Yeah, and why did you have us wear the orbital drop gear? I wasn\'t aware we were scheduled for a launch' Jeb: -Massive grin as Elevator slows and stops- Bob: ' hey anyone else notice gravities gone?' Will: -Doors open. Kerbin is revealed floating below the Elevator- 'Holy shit!' Bob: 'we take a seriously wrong turn here or-' Jeb: 'Beat you to the ground!' -Leaps out door smiling the entire way as the elevator begins to fall back to the ground- Bob: ' Ah hell, not again! Will: ' Damnit, and they had steak for lunch!' -Leaps out after Jeb- Bob: 'How do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?' -Leaps out after the others-
  7. What\'d you do to your computer, accidentally Fat Man the harddrive?
  8. I use it for my Munar space stations.... mostly because If I didn\'t, my guys\'ll end up floating off surrounded by a halo of debris from my crappily designed station... And its fun to try to land on the Mun... especially since its hard to judge distances well there; you never know if that mountain is 100 KM away, or 10! BTW, any progress on the Kergin Galactic?
  9. I am using 7, and by DOS you mean Command Line? sorry to sound stupid, but when it comes to computers, I know next to nothing about how the basic OS stuff and coding works, I merely use it. I\'m still wondering if I fraked up install somehow, but I don\'t see how, especially as I\'ve reinstalled several times now, without any success.... is this because I need to start the Editor from Command line no matter what I do? PS, the OP isn\'t exactly 'Helpful' when it comes to issues like this....
  10. Damn, I was hoping to set up a Wormhole in a easy-to-reach orbit above the KSP and set up another above the Mun, and funnel supplies in to a spacedock, using that orbital construction plugin. Or set up one 5KM away from the KSP on the ground and do much the same thing, only with ground vehicles; be....interesting for the Kerbals in the buggy when they come out above the Mun, but, meh, they\'ve been through worse.
  11. Yay! now more reasons to clutter Munar orbit with crap to shoot down!
  12. Lolz, reminds me why I never hit the '13th' floor key often... on Kerbin, it might send you into space!
  13. So, essentially, this strengthens the connections between parts, so long as they\'re not stupidly mismatched parts (Like the example you mentioned)? I\'ll download this and try it out, I have a Airship model that keeps shredding itself despite much usage of struts and trusses...
  14. Now strap a Devastator or two (or like one of my designs!) on that puppy, add in a Sunbeam for lolz, and then you\'re ready to go!
  15. It also looks quite neat when belly mounted under my Blimp thats outfitted with PPCs and Sunbeams ;D ;D
  16. So if used on a airship, the smalls lead to wildly mashing the spacebar in a attempt to (assuming you HAVE one) activate the Capsule Escape System as your Airship uncontrollably plummets into the ground on its own? good to know, I haven\'t used the ballast tanks yet for that purpose.... been relying on the radially mounted helium tanks to balance out the weight distribution, as I always put the fuel supply for my Airships in back...
  17. Essentially the same way, it 'Looks' for the brightest point of light thats the right frequency to follow (so it doesn\'t home in on, say, a ordinary laser pointer but instead follows the beam from a proper designator) then commands its control surfaces or motors to align with that point, and continues to do so until it impacts or gets close enough that the warhead detonates. That\'s Laser Designated Bombs though, Missiles are different, in that they follow a beam to the target using a laser in their rear, unlike bombs which have it in the nose. (Laser Guided Munitions, AKA bombs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_guided_munitions Missile Guidance Systems. Look under Line-Of-Sight Beam Riding Guidance (LOSBR) for Beam Rider missiles http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missile_guidance)
  18. Anyone have the coords to a flat area on the Mun so I can edit in the massive MunBase I\'ve been unsuccessfully trying to launch from Kerbin orbit? I mean, I try and copy in the coords to the drones I have crawling over the Mun, and I end up usually stuck in the ground, and then exploding violently.
  19. Now to mount a laser on the Comm/OWP I\'m using to scan the Mun for Monoliths, and then launch for the Mun! lot easier now with Mechjeb being able to do transfer orbits.... Any plans on making this multipurpose? Like how you can use a laser for burning and melting stuff, as a range finder, communications, some types of propulsion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_launch), and as LIDAR?
  20. you know what it looks like to me? a mirror array from a distance, a orbital mirror like Icarus from Tomorrow Never Dies
  21. Son, don\'t tempt fate. A bastardized mixture of Minecraft and KSP would mean the end of hard core people in both sides! Why dig a mine when you can build a goofy as hell rocket and head to the Mun? Why allow yourself to be shoehorned in a capsule with a slim chance of ever reaching the ground alive when you can sit back and set a forest on fire for lolz? (Actually, I\'d love to see that mix... KerbalCraft? MineSpaceProgram? lolz)
  22. screw speed, most of my designs are either incredibly unstable to fly, or are unable to land properly. Or in several memorable flights, both at the same time.
