  1. I play KSP on both PC and console, and you can't help but to be frustrated at the console version or the people who only have it on console. This is a great game, and not everyone has a high-end PC to run it on. So for them to finally get a version available to play was probably pretty awesome. And to pay good money for, and receive not just a broken, but a complete debacle of a version. . . Well the hate is totally understandable. I really don't think it's too much to ask of SQUAD to just touch base on the subject, because this game is theirs...every interaction of it. And IMHO, console updates DO belong in dev notes. Car manufactures still issue recalls on their cars regardless of who sells it, where it was sold, or where the parts came from....their name is on it, so their responsible for it. That's all these console people are asking for. I mean, come on, the dev notes don't need much. They could just say, "hey, console crew, we called FTE Tuesday and cussed them out for an hour, just waiting to hear back!" And the console crew would be fed for the week because at least we/they would know SQUAD cared. At this point they're appearing as just blowing off people who have already opened their wallets. I mean, how hard would SQUAD be coming after console gamers if they downloaded their game and transferred counterfeit money that they couldn't use??? Probably pretty hard. SQUAD... Bang up job on a totally amazing game, but now that 1.2 is out, do the right thing and hustle on the console side. It's just the right thing to do.
  2. The console version is virtually unplayable. It's filled with bugs, and crashes/freezes every five min. You're not missing much. I bought it when it came out, and 2 months later, still not one single patch. Every game I've had has turned corrupt and been erased. I can't have more than one satellite in orbit without freezing. Can't build a craft with more than 100 parts without locking up my ps4. If I were you, I'd play something else and forget about this game for at least 6 months... Check in here from time to time, see if anything has been changed, but so far, It appears that no one is really interested in getting a fix to the console any time soon. They even quit mentioning it in the dev notes.
  3. Would there be any reason to believe that increasing my PS4 hard drive from the current almost full 500gb to a new 2Tb would help this freezing/crashing issue? I'm going to do it anyway as I have about 100gb free, but was wondering if I should do it sooner rather than later.
  4. I've turned that option off in my career, but you don't have a choice in sandbox mode...which is where the bug was first noticed. Even with them disabled, the game still locks up/crashes.
  5. AC-I've tried your workaround, along with a list of others on here, and eventually I get a majorly crash where it wipes out the file. Freezing I can deal with, but it's the loss of files that makes it a pointless play. Right around 75 parts, I start getting freezing. By part 100, I can't even click on a new part. The furthest I've ever gotten was in sandbox, and I had a small space station in LKO, and a small satellite orbiting Mun. I went to send up a small addition to my station, and bang, corruption. I keep Kerbal clean, no debris, no unnecessary files, no unused rockets or parts saved, and I've even gone so far as to clean up my PS4 drive and files themselves just to make sure there isn't a speck of wasted space or memory. Still crashes. I don't need a perfect game, just a playable one. If FT is going to take 6 months to get this thing running, then I'm sorry, I'll be asking for my $ back because my desire to play this game fades a little more every day that I don't get to play it. That said, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that some OT is being put in because I really did love this game....the 4 hours of it I've been able to play.
  6. The game is virtually unplayable on console! After 2 months, any team should've been able to release a patch that allows basic play for longer than an hour without some form of lockup. Everyone knows it will take time to streamline the game to the masterpiece it is, but there have been day1 patches on other games so this talk of several layers of QA and certifications is sounding more and more like excuses. ESPECIALLY since these problems arise in the first 45 min to an hour of playing. IMO, if FT or SQUAD have found a way to play this for more than an hour, or build a ship with more than 100 parts, then that's a patch that needs to be pumped out ASAP! That would at least show the players that something is being done.
  7. Assuming KSP gets the necessary patches for it to run long enough to play it, and save files for more than a day, are there any plans for DLC? The PC mods are amazing, and while I'm sure the consoles could in no way handle that same mass, could we still a few specialty items like fancy antennas, solar panels, command pods, science experiments, and craft containers?
  8. I would love to use this!..... But I can't get through a build without crashing the game, so I guess I'll pass
  9. I feel your pain man, I've lost 3 huge saved games to crashes. For the time being, I just enjoy experimenting with builds, and don't get too attached to anything I put in orbit because I know it WILL crash, and i WILL lose everything. Id advise keeping an eye on the Devnote Tuesday posts in the daily Kerbal forum. Also, When I build something I like, I snap a pic with my phone with hopes of rebuilding it after the patch comes.
  10. I'll check it out Dunnfore, thx... Maybe the PS4 is set up the same way.
  11. Does anyone know how to delete the stock crafts oN PS4? I've read a lot about keeping your file clean by deleting your own builds that aren't being used, and terminating debris in the tracking station, but they also mention deleting/disabling the stock crafts in both assembly buildings.... And I don't see how that's possible. It won't let you delete them straight up in the game; I've selected the file, and deleting it straight up isn't an option. I've tried loading a craft, deleting all of the parts, and saving to overwrite it, but it simply creates a second file next to the stock file. I've been all through the PS4 system files, and nothing lets you get to the actual stock .file. If space is the big issue with this game, why not have the option to erase the 12+ ships with 300+ parts that are pre-loaded and not being used?? Hey Flying Tiger!!...how about a spot in the settings menu that lets us opt out of having these pre-built crafts that take up so much space????
