  1. So, I started up a Duna mission, the Hyperion I. She was a damn fine craft, named 'Most beautiful Ship in the Kerbal Fleet' by several high-class engineers. Here she is in Kerbin Orbit preparing to depart. She possesses an Ike Lander, Anubis (Tucked away in the middle), her primary lander; Hyperion, an orbital segment, and a return capsule. Here she is in Kerbin Orbit The plan was to leave the Anubis and the Hyperion Lander in Duna to save Delta-V. She was assembled in Orbit. which lead to some issues in the Delta V calculation done in the VAB. Here she is departing Kerbin Sadly, she had not enough Delta V to capture herself, and the fuel in her landers was spent in a last ditch effort to avoid interplanetary space, this (Somehow) works. This leaves a crew of 5 Kerbals in Orbit of Duna. The crew considered ditching the Hyperion Lander, but simulations showed it would fall towards the craft, crippling the remainder of it. Now, this is when the engineers realized something horrible. To rescue the crew of high-profile Kerbal Astronauts, they would need a docking port. Hyperion had no spare docking ports. Several lead engineers wanted to do a quick switch between the lander and the refueler, but this was deemed too dangerous due to the incompetence of the agency at docking multiple times in a short period of time. a 'Klaw' was tested prior to the mission, capturing the asteroid Pandora. but this had not been tested on rocket parts. Eventually, the Hyperion I was deemed the biggest failure in the space program, and its crew would be rescued by the Hyperion II follow-up mission, which abandoned landing as a whole and left the Hyperion I a wreck in Duna orbit. Not even usable as a comms array due to the heavy budget cuts in its construction.
  2. Oh boy, well, most of the games I've played recently would be pretty good to mix with KSP Kerbannetary Annihilation: Basically Kerbals at War Kerpublic Commando: Breaching operations in space stations Jeb Jeb's Bizzare Adventure: Eyes of the Mun My『Stand』,『Space Oddity』is the best in the world!
  3. Today the Space Program ran into a major mission failure. Hyperion I the first manned flight to Duna (With a crew of 5), in Kerbin Orbit, was launched towards Duna. it was discovered that it had a major issue with Delta V during the trip, but because of managerial oversight, it was launched anyway. the Transfer Burn was a success and we ended up in a Duna Encounter. Though the issue truly arose when we reached Duna Periapsis. The retrograde burn on the Hyperion I drained it of all available Delta V with fuel having to be drained from the Landers Fuel Tanks and the landers were considered being ditched to alleviate the weight, this utter failure has resulted in stranding Jeb, Job, Val, Bill and Haydon Kerman in orbit. This was responded with uproar from the scientific community, the first manned interplanetary flight, and such a failure! though luckilly, the orbit was circularised and we dont have kerbals in Solar Orbit, or crashed against the surface of Duna or Ike. Now, with this issue present, a new probe is being designed to ferry enough Delta V to save Hyperion I. It has been dubbed Theia I, It will be unmanned and essentially be an oversized tug. due to budgeting issues Hyperion I was only given 2 Docking Ports, Both are currently taken up by landers. This has resulted in Theia I being given an Asteroid Retrieval Claw. Now the mission plan has been altered to attempt to salvage the Hyperion I mission with the massive load of incoming Delta V from Theia I. It will receive the refueling tug, conduct its mission, ditch its landers, refuel for the 2nd time and return to Kerbin Orbit. The issue now will be delivering so much fuel to Duna. currently Hyperion II will definitely have to store much more fuel, and its design process is already underway. During this event a probe named Fire VII landed on Eve. as well as the Moho probe Fire VI being found to not have enough Delta V to circularise and being lost in Solar Orbit. This will be noted and the next Moho Probe is being prepared.
  4. Today the construction of the Hyperion I began. a mission revision discovered that it would be more efficient to put a second lander onboard for Ike as it would cut out the wait for 2 launch windows, one for sending a craft to Ike and one for sending a craft to Duna. this lander was dubbed Anubis I. The mission plan was also written up Part 1: Launch the Command Module into Orbit (Comes with Transfer Stage and Anubis Lander), Part 2: Launch the Hyperion Model Lander (Designed for Duna), Part 3: Launch the Crew Module, transfer crew, Part 5: Begin mining Pandora, a captured asteroid, and bring the fuel to Hyperion I, Part 6: Await Transfer and burn the Twin Boar Engine as Transfer, then change to Nuclear Orbital Engines, Part 7: Assure the capture intercepts Ike, orbit Ike, Part 8: Land Anubis I on Ike, Part 9: Redock the Anubis and Hyperion, Part 10: Enter Duna Orbit, Part 11: Land Hyperion's Lander, Part 12: Redock with Hyperion, Part 13: Await Kerbin Launch Window and Burn. This mission plan allows for both craft to conduct their operational goals. after the craft returns to Kerbin Orbit it will be retrieved by the same Crew Shuttle used to ferry its crew up in the first place. the current crafts specs include a crew capacity of 5 Kerbals, 1 in the Anubis, 3 in the Hyperion, and 1 in the Command Module. Jebediah has been deemed the designated Hyperion Landers pilot, he will go with Bill and Bob. Valentina will manage the Command Module. Anubis's Pilot is still undecided. Spark II will be used as a landing target, it is landed in Duna's largest crater.
  5. Today, I pulled off 2 missions at once. First, The Fire V was launched and set up in a parking orbit, I set up a timer for Jool. Then, I launched Clymene I, an asteroid capture tug, it grabbed a C Class Asteroid (Dubbed A-"P"01) nicknamed Pandora and dragged her into a high Kerbin orbit, an issue arose however when i noticed her orbit intersected with the Mun, and would eventually break the orbit. I launched Clymene II and brought her down to a closer orbit. By now the Fire V window had opened and I launched, reaching Jool with %1 Communications. This was a major issue and it rendered the craft inept, though I managed to orbit it in time. The current problem comes in the form of the Icarus III, a probe given to the Fire V to explore Jools atmosphere. I forgot to realise that power from solars decreases the further out you go, and now my Fire V cannot sustain itself, or send its data. This calls for desperate measures, I have begun Operation Ideal, which will attempt to send a second probe to Jool in order to recover the mission. This will be a side mission second to the coming Hyperion I mission to Duna. after Fire IV managed to set up a basic relay and land a probe on Duna, the space program has announced plans to send a Kerbal crew there. hopefully, this will turn out better than the Fire V mission in Jool. On a second note, Fire VI is being prepared to head out to Dres to expand our communications array so we can actually talk to Jool. It will likely be carrying multiple satellites. Hyperion I should come with an extra satellite or two as to assist this mission. Hyperion I will be landing at the site of the Spark II, which is landed on Duna's largest crater.
  6. Ohhh, that's cool. Thanks. Is that the same for all Koprenicus mods? (Ill definitely be adding this to my Career Game)
  7. Hm, I'd love a planet mod, but i always have a problem with Eeloo Moves, since its one of my favourite bodies due to its distance out. Any chance of making the Eeloo Move optional? or are you making a new Dwarf Planet?
  8. Ahhh ok, ill go get that now. Aaaaand, here ya go. thanks for your patience. Sorry about the timezone difference. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ldu0kaxix12i4rt/KSP Save.zip?dl=0
  9. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qcclf8c0rihwlp7/persistent.sfs?dl=0 ill just post this because i think its what you needed
  10. http://pastebin.com/dNwk333Y here you go, i think. I barely know what I'm doing anyway Sorry for the wait, i had stuff on.
  11. I can't see my saved craft, I can see them from the Launch Pad. but I can't load things in the VAB. the load button works, but the Menu itself is empty. I checked my VAB folder, and it's definitely got craft in it. I'm running 1.2.1. and i have Windows 10.
  12. Today I learnt that high expectations are almost never met. After I planned to get to Duna with the Hyperion I, I realised that it would take forever to get Nuclear Engines (And with Inefficiency too boot!) and i had'nt figured out how powerfull my communications network was. So i took on a tonne of Contracts on the Mun and Minmus and landed 2 more Landers on each, the Prometheus VI (Mun) and Prometheus VII (Minmus), I rescued 2 kerbals in the process and brought back a tonne of science. I used these new funds to upgrade my Tracking Station, and the science went to unlocking the Nuclear Engine and some new Comms Equipment, some rover parts (Important for the Duna Mission as I want to put a Rover there before I send a manned mission just for safety purposes) as well as some better fuel. Currently, I'm preparing a stress test of my Communications System by sending a probe to Jool via the new Nuclear Engines I have. This will be important as I have a few Jool Contracts, and my current Fire III in Jool Orbit can't connect to the comms network (I got it in there before I realised I have to turn it on in settings). So currently it's just a heavy stress test operation. after this I'll launch the Satellite bound for Duna if my Communications can hold up interplanetary travel.
  13. Port and Starboard are important because their relative to the ship, not just everything around you. it can't be confused for someone else's left or right.
  14. Today, i launched the Arcadia Station's core module, which will function as a stopping point in Kerbin Orbit for Refueling and other ventures in the future. Its first big project will be acting as a launching point for the Fire IV, a probe bound for Duna to serve as a communications relay for the manned mission the Hyperion I, the name Fire refers to the series being originally used in co-use with the Prometheus Lunar Missions. I'm also setting up the Prometheus VI which will function as an improved version of the Prometheus V adding , which was an Apollo Style Lander, the only problem at the moment is funding. This is all part of my Stock Campaign of course, and plans are also underway for a Gilly Relay I've dubbed the Fire VII Which will be unique in that it won't be actually orbiting Gilly, and will be one of the few landed Relays in the fleet because I want to. that's my only reason. I've never actually succeeded in an Interplanetary Mission, apart from the Fire III, which is now orbiting Jool (Only because of the super easy gravity well). But I'm really eager to get a probe in orbit of Duna. another problem is the distance of communications, which I'm having a bit of trouble with.
