I proudly present to you... Pixie-C1 This innovative vehicle was created by SkyTech Aerospace, owned by @Skylon, as a method of transporting kerbals to space, for the first time in private spaceflight history. It can carry two kerbals to space, and features not only a launch escape system, but also a sophisticated landing rockets to allow soft landings even on solid ground, and potentially a secondary escape system. Anyway, I would like to schedule a pad abort test of this. The setup can be found here, and the instructions here: The capsule and service module weigh 4.55 tons together, allowing for their use on existing launch vehicles to be lifted into orbit. I will only contract a few of these launches to other rockets (I plan to use my in-development Arthur-Heavy for that), so make sure to snap up those contracts fast. If you want to be chosen, provide your launch vehicle's cost and max payload because I'm too lazy to check.

Pretty sure I can still do that. @TheEpicSquared, can you add this launch to the manifest, and update my MunDust-1 rocket please? Could you also make a list of the launch windows, as I plan to make a Duna probe.

Maybe some (more?) X-planes, or something like SpaceShipTwo/WhiteKnight. An X-37 or even X-33 (if you can manage it) would be very cool to see. Loving your replicas so far, can't wait to see more!

Old thread merged with the BO and Orion thread. This is the new one. Useful links: r/SpaceX Wiki Long list of acronyms

8/10 cool markings that probably mean something I should know -
So, you can post your suborbital craft here... Reusable, partially reusable, expendable; plane, capsule (car? ); it doesn't matter. Make it look cool and Jeb doesn't care! Here is mine, designed for this thread:

Now testing the Vogon-1 plane atop the Whitewing carrier: Looks like it can manage >1000m/s before separation (not shown). Apogee hits 98,000km after the high-g turn and rocket fire: Re-entry was successful, though it requires use of ailerons at ~20km to prevent overheats (I will add a radiator for the final version.) Final conclusions on ascent/descent protocol:

I did look over the rules but I will look over them again now. Plus, it wouldn't be an SSTO or anything with airbreathing engines on the craft going to space. Real world example: SpaceShipTwo Concepts: Dreamer or DynaSoar
