  1. Can payloads have engines and fuel? I think they should, as it simplifies adding stats to launcher; you will only really need stats for LKO, and maybe keostationary transfer orbit, and then the launchers don't have to perform anything like rendezvous/docking.
  2. Could someone build me a station resupply probe? Here's what i want: Under two tonnes Can rendezvous and dock under its own power using mechjeb from 80km Contains 2 months of food, water, co2 scrubbing (if co2 scrubbers are expendable) Can provide expendable oxygen and nitrogen containers. If this is not really possible, tell me Show me the stats and if I am happy I will take ownership of it and give you a free launch of the Arthur-2 when it is tested and primed for commercial launch.
  3. Okay I am using it too so I could add them myself. I don't have access to KSP for a while but I finished building the Arthur-1 yesterday. Needs testing, specifically static fire of the three engine types (technically three, but one of them has three nozzles to provide better control like on the Soyuz engines and another is just an RCS port) and then I need to static fire both full stages and then it will be ready for a Demo launch Half price fifth launch of the Arthur-1 to anyone who can guess who/what the Arthur series is named after.
  4. How did you make those blueprints? This is going very well, nice and simple but aesthetic too! Oh, and if you want to, check out this thread: Not my own but it is a great idea and I would love to compete with you as a launch provider. You can post your comsat/probes s too and get other people to launch them. And sorry if this isn't allowed on the forums, I've read the rules about 'shameless advertising' but not sure. It already has a lot of deserved attention, so I don't know Oh okay sounds like too much work for me
  5. How did you make those blueprints? This is going very well, nice and simple but aesthetic too!
  6. Could we have launch agreements highlighted then? In the same colour/size for everyone so they are easier for you and us to see
  7. I think payloads and final launch agreements should be there too. So anything that would be publicly announced IRL. Negotiations should be here or in pm. And again, I think everyone should get one post for all their craft, and then you can announce new rockets every day/week or so So discussion and questions, rules here, craft, agreements and maybe launch schedule over on the other one too
  8. Can we have all launch vehicle posts in red, payloads in blue, and finished deals in green? Or something like that. Just easier for you to find. Would you mind recovering 4 solid booster? Or too tedious? I would recover my whole liquid fuelled first stage too, but realism . Will you track our funds?
  9. I mean the craft posting thread in spacecraft exchange Alternatively, you could just post that in the topic description, which seems to be what you are doing. I suddenly realise that the earliest to post launcher craft will be the earliest to get moneez. That is if there are PPs. I still think it would be good to have some way PPs can get money. I will see if I can write rules for that, keeping as simple as the LP rules. I should've PMed you before you posted this, but oh well
  10. Half-price 5th launch of my first launch vehicle to whoever guess why it is named as it is (check earlier post) Can we have a few orbital altitudes we have to rate our launchers for e.g. 80km, 200km, 500km, Geostationary transfer orbit? Maybe less, also what margin for error do we need/what delta v. Can't have people competing to see who can get the max payload capacity closest to the real thing @TheEpicSquared We need a separate discussion thread/ craft posting thread for this, so we can see when everyone actually has a launcher posted, and everyone only gets one post on the craft posting thread. This would probably be in the spacecraft exchange, considering we would have already posted the downloads and specs
  11. Arthur-1: Expendable Two stage Upper stage to be called the Xarla-1.3A Lower stage to be called the Xarla-1.1A Arthur-2: 2 0.625m SRBs (called Splints) extra Arthur-4: 4 'Splints' extra Arthur-1H: Three Xarla-1.1A cores (centre with lower fuel consumption. I'm assuming asparagus/crossfeed is discouraged, though the F9H was originally planned to use it)
  12. I'm scrapping my previous rockets in favour of simpler/cheaper designs. The name is still going to be Xarla 1though, if you want to add that to the description
  13. Oh and I am reconfiguring my rockets to be 20m, not over 30m. Need swivel instead of vector though and low twr on upper stage
  14. Will you allow clipping of engines up to just before the bell? Can you also exclude landing legs from the width? Also, in the part description of the vector, it says 'designed with very durable components...for high reusability'. Could this mean it is cheaper to refurbish? I hope so, that thing costs 18,000. And I know the IRL shuttle engines weren't cheap to refurbish
  15. Here is my planned company (I will post my launchers/payloads here also when the challenge is ready) I present to you..... SkyTech Aerospace Bringing the sky closer to you Flag/logo planned, but I'm having trouble using an online generator, because when I convert it from .png to .jpeg it squashes it horizontally for some reason.
  16. I think that tech level should also matter, since you could use a vector as a high TWR solution for your rockets, or an aero spike for higher efficiency.
  17. Mabye there should be a station/other destination in orbit and PPs could provide crew/cargo vessels to supply it. Also the station could be made up of vessels made by PPs, launched by LPs and sold to the government or used to speed up R&D or part development. And yes PPs should get paid to have their Comsats used as relays, scanners used for...scanning...and also for tourist vessels to carry tourists, etc. Is there any problem with LPs launching their own payloads? They would be paid by tourists or the government to do science and ferry crew/cargo etc.
  18. Could i provide my rocket early? Actually quite excited for this thread. I plan to use Kerbal Reusability Expansion for this. Edit: Will there be a launch site rental price? Maybe you could use Kerbinside/kerbal Konstrukts and and at an additional price Launch companies could buy, sell and rent their own launch sites. I am still a bit unclear about how we generate profit. So the PPs pay the LPs? Or is it based on the cost of the satellite? How do PPs generate profit if at all? Also, should we have one post for all launch vehicles? Are we expected to retire older vehicles? Could we use excess profits to speed up the R&D? Sorry for question spam. My long reply senses are tingling
