  1. I'm not an artist or graphic designer, but I'm sure there's tens, maybe even dozens of people out there who could craft a more creative texture than what's currently in the game Thanks for the fascinating and intellectually stimulating conversation! I'm sure you're a blast to talk to at parties!
  2. Like something made by an artist or graphic designer who put more effort into their work than just slapping a green filter over Jupiter
  3. Something with a bit more effort put into it than just slapping a green filter over a Jupiter
  4. "Individuality" as in it doesn't look like its own planet but rather Jupiter with a green filter
  5. Some might not like this, but when I saw that the tutorials were narrated by a kid instead of Scott Manley, I knew exactly what direction this game was going to take, and I'm not thrilled with it.
  6. Not only this, but Jool's texture needs to be completely re-worked. As it is it has no individuality and just looks like Jupiter with a green filter.
  7. If this turns out to be a final decision, I'm done with the series. I understand that kids and education are a huge part of their mission, but if they're going to "gameify" everything at the expense of actual simulation, it will be doing a disservice to everyone who fell in love with this game *because* of how scientifically accurate it is.
  8. This is my biggest concern. I feel that for far too many people, KSP is "Hahahaha, space frogs go boom". To appeal to this part of the fanbase, they are more likely than not going to "streamline" the hardcore parts of the game that made it unique, and turn it into, as someone above said, a "Satisfactory-eque resource manager"
  9. Success! Using the one from the download you linked worked. It's going to be so weird actually playing the game for once instead of spending hours updating mods and quitting in frustration.
  10. So apparently if you download from https://github.com/Kopernicus/Kopernicus/tree/master/build, the Plugins folder is missing the .dll files. If you download from https://github.com/Kopernicus/Kopernicus/releases/, it has the .dll files. After noticing this, I used the download from the 2nd link and it fixed the cloud issue and black skybox. I have no idea what the difference is but I'm going to accept it for what it is and move on from that part of my life. Now the only issue I have is that there's still the inky-black oceans. Here's the updated log from just now: New log And a photo of the Mordor Oceans
  11. I saw the github repo but I had no idea what to do with the...commits? comments? I have no idea what those are. And the log's linked at the bottom of my original comment up above.
  12. Hi Nicky, That fixed the black water but doesn't fix the black skybox. Completely deleting scatterer also doesn't fix the clouds not showing up.
  13. Hi, I have two separate issues going on. I booted up today after being away for a few months, and the clouds were nowhere to be seen. The cloud file was correct and in the GPP folder: this is an existing save, and the clouds were working normally before today. I had updated Grannus Expansion Pack and Kopernicus before starting today. My second issue is the black sky/black water bug with Scatterer. I was able to fix the sky per discussion earlier in this thread, but the water is still inky black. Any help would be appreciated. Relevent info: KSP 1.7.1 GPP 1.6.3.1 GEP 1.0.1.4 scatterer 0.0.540 (value 'skyExposure' patched per discussion earlier in this thread: black sky is fixed but water is still black) Kopernicus 1.7.1-4 EVE 1.4.0-1 Again, the clouds were working normally a few months ago (even showing on the main menu contrary to claims), but when I updated Kopernicus and GEP today they were absent. I have re-downloaded the above mods today and at least once each. Log file
  14. Installed 1.3 and still no go. Will you need a full error report to investigate, and if so how's the best way to get one to you?
  15. Thanks, let me know if there's anything I can provide to help with investigating. I've taken a look at my save file and the part's source file and I can't figure out why it's not working.
  16. KIS got updated on Friday, it works, the only thing that's giving me problems is this particular part from the planetary base pack..
  17. Good idea, unfortunately the problem part is the container itself.
  18. As a heads up, the part 'KKAOSS.KIS.Tank' isn't compatible with 1.3. I've been trying to mess with it and make it work, but as of yet, to no avail. It causes 2 of my stations to not load, and when I try to remove it from the save file it causes huge chunks of my stations to not load at all, not really sure where to go from here.
  19. I've been able to figure out that this is a part from the Planetary Base System that holds inventory parts for KIS. I'll attack it from that angle.
  20. I just booted up after updating KIS and CCK, and when I loaded my game I got an error that two of my space stations around Duna weren't loaded because of a missing file from KIS. I believe it was the little monoprop tank. I've exited and re-loaded KSP and now it's not even giving me that error so I don't know exactly what it was. It looks like my crew were automatically returned. Is there any way to get my stations back? If the game is going to delete ships/stations/bases over loading conflicts, it needs a better way to handle conflicts because I'm in a less-than-pleased condition right now, especially since another station with 'outdated' parts still loaded fine..
