  1. Repost your question in this board: http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?board=39.0 Or ask a moderator to move this thread there, you are more likely to get an answer.
  2. I read this thread when it was first posted, and was disappointed that I had nothing to contribute. However, today I was working on setting a land speed record with Tosh's CART pack, which resulted in such a moment during the testing phases. My finger slipped off the canard control, which were angled down to keep the vehicle from taking off, resulting in half of it splitting off and flying past me.
  3. There is information on the wiki: http://184.154.141.114/~kerbalsp/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page Also, check out the Plugin Development forum, I am sure they will be happy to answer any specific questions you have. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?board=39.0
  4. Yeah, we will need a screenshot of your ship/capsule splashed down in the bay. In addition to this the longitude and latitude, which can be obtained from the Tracking Station once you have landed. I will have to let togfox decide whether this feature will need to go to poll, or is small/obscure enough to be named immediately. Happy exploring ! Rich
  5. Welcome to the forums , I too entered the forum with a Mun landing to present.
  6. I have been hunting for a glacier in Kerbin over the last few days, would you say this classifies as such an example? I check, because it seems I have trouble identifing the difference between a pinnacle and a plateau ???
  7. Welcome! May your failures be as spectacular as your successes. Rich.
  8. This is considered a region, so it will go to poll when enough suggestions have been made, currently we have 'Booster Bay' and 'Malfunction Bay'. I can add 'Bay of Taheireaz' to the list of nominated names if you like? I look forward to your name suggestions , break out all the exploration vehicles!
  9. Finally managed to track down Mt. Craw
  10. Name: Mt. Craw Latitude: 0 11\' 42' N Longitude: 75 20\' 8 W Altitude: 2321m Celestial body: Mun
  11. The game engine quite happily accepts longitude and latitude defined from from 0o to infinityo. Higher numbers just wrap it around the planet. So this is probably just a bug where the game doesn\'t flip the output to 179oE, when passing over the 180oE/W reference point, and instead uses 181oW That said, I might be able to find Mt. Craw now.
  12. Name: Tantalus Crater Latitude: 1 26\' 54' S Longitude: 2 50\' 52' W Altitude: 685m Celestial body: Mun
  13. Updated the other post to include this suggestion
  14. Name: Decided by poll Nominated names: Booster Bay, Malfunction Bay Latitude: 1o 2\' 9\'\' N Longitude: 74o 51\' 1\'\' W Altitude: 0 - sea level Celestial Body: Kerbin
  15. It is the mountain in the background. It can be seen from coordinates 1(degree) 19\' 22' 285 (degree) 0\' 58' I tried hunting for this, but the 285 degree is very strange as it should be between 0 and 180. I tried to normalised by subtracting 180 and adding a minus sign but the locations while similar didn\'t have the correct rocks. 0° 57\' N, 129° 38\' W, or +0.965°, -129.638° if you prefer decimals. This image is looking south west at the highest point in the area: elevation 2,968m. I like it. I haven\'t plucked up the courage yet to suggest we call the bay near the KSC 'Booster Bay', mainly because I am not sure if I came up with it or read it somewhere, most likely the latter.
  16. Captures the mood of the game well, serious with a hint of jauntiness.
  17. I think this can be classified as a small feature, therefore I can add it right away. I will however need the {N,S} {W,E} portion of the position, or the persistence file.
  18. It has been decided to generate a persistence file with name markers, so far it has the KSC and the first feature Mt. Vildan. More will be added as they are decided, and the persistence file will be made available. That said, if you could post your persistence file along with name submissions, that would be a great help.
  19. Name: to be decided by poll Nominated names: Shoeshore Archipelago Latitude: 5 38\' 41\'\' N Longitude: 62 15\' 38\'\' W Altitude: 25m Celestial body: Kerbin
  20. I understand what you are saying; Earth based pronouns are inherently Earth specific. If a name is taken from an existing language it must be something a Kerbal can relate to such as 'fear', or 'booster'. I approve of this name. I will try again on another feature at some point, this conversation has rekindled my naming direction.
  21. If your goal was to orbit Kerbol (the sun), then you are doing it right! If not, explain what your goal was, then there is a possibility we can provide you with some advice/direct you to some tutorials
  22. Given a film is about $15 and lasts 3hr~, the utility of KSP is much higher. Thanks for all the hard work
  23. Certainly makes the back story easy: The Nebuchadnezzar plateau, first discovered by Billy-Bobble Kerman in the year of the Mun, is an unforgiving place. It is rumoured to be so cold, it causes your eyeballs to freeze.
