1. No, I insist, it is you who is mistaken. Three.
2. This question is over a year old; locking the thread.
3. I rationalise most of my entertainment purchases like this. If the cost per hour is lower than that of going to see a film at the cinema, then I consider it to be a worthwhile purchase. I don't know exactly how many hours I have logged in KSP, but I can assure myself that it is more than 15 (I paid £15 for it back in 0.14). That's not even including all the evenings I spent modding the game. Either way, KSP was a good buy.
4. Updating Telemachus to work with KSP 0.90 is taking a while, because the Telemachus web socket server current causes the game to crash on exit. I know what is causing the crash but my attempts to resolve the issue thus far have failed. I will have some more time next week to make further attempts at fixing this issue.
5. Your strike through usage example is incorrect: [S]<text>[/S} -- Strikethrough text inside of tags. Struck text looks like this Note the erroneous "curly brace".
6. In the past if there has been a need for more moderators we invite people to submit an application. Kasper was an exception though, as he needed to drink 5 pints of milk in 60 seconds to make it onto the team.
7. Yes, compile OpenMCT from source as the current release binaries are not compatible with the current plugins. I keep meaning to set up a repository for this project, with at least compilation instructions, but external forces keep getting in the way. Rich
8. Yeah that helps thanks , as it narrows down the set of test cases I need to run.
9. Hi pcb95, May I ask which features of Telemachus you were using in flight? As that will help me track down the root cause. Thanks, Rich.
10. I am closing this thread as its topic is present on the What not to suggest List. As mentioned above, this topic has been smashed around before and if you are interested in reading more, then please make use of the forum's search feature. Rich
11. It is exactly like lego except: 1) The pieces tend to be smaller which allows for increased detail; 2) The female block connectors allow a little more flexibility when positioning and 3) It doesn't hurt as much when you step on the pieces.
12. There isn't that much source right now; the annoying bit is getting the MCT projects configured for building. Though I suspect if you are a Java developer it wouldn't take that long at all.
13. Best Christmas present ever. I would highly recommend nanoblocks to any lego/space enthusiast as they are a lot of fun to put together. Hopefully next year I'll be lucky enough to get my hands on the ISS or the deluxe Space Shuttle.
14. I'm attempting to push some options relating to this with the powers that be. My current favourite/most likely to fly option, is to rename the "Tools and Applications" sub forum to encompass hardware projects. I can't promise anything though, other than that this issue is being considered.
15. I downloaded 0.90 yesterday and that's as far as I got before I had to dash off for something.
16. I have read your current plan with interest and I have a few words of advice to chip in. Experience has taught those of us that have developed data exporting mods for KSP, that running a web server as a game modification will not get you healthy data rates or allow for a large number of concurrent connections. In order to achieve these goals it is necessary to use a proxy, therefore I would advise basing your lightweight solution on the Go At Throttle Up project, which includes such a proxy. However, you obviously sacrifice installation and development simplicity by not having all of your code compiled as a KSP modification.
17. I recently added a partless mode, which you can turn on from the configuration file. This is largely untested so feedback is welcome!
18. Here are a couple of projects that allow you to send commands to your vessels: Kerminal: Terminal Interface to KSP via Telemachus"]Kerminal - Terminal interface to KSP kRPC - Python interface to KSP pyKSP - Another Python interface to KSP
19. The latest version of Telemachus (download on GitHub) makes Telemachus available from the start of career mode.
