  1. You're not really wrong.... I launched it.... and it went to about 10000m before loosing control due to the high rotation speed caused by the inclined engines creating a rotating moment of thrust. This is the best craft ever made by a Kerbal
  2. I made a manned exploration mission to Mimnus, involving two Kerbals, a lander, a rover, and a survey probe. Went to Minmus just as usually. Nothing to say. Exept when time for separating the lander and the probe came up. *Booom* Those wheels explosions are violent !
  3. That's just normal, by overpassing the upper limit of a float variable you just basically gets KSP to segfault
  4. When you're damn late and wants to reload the save. When you're doing this kind of stuff :
  5. When you're speaking about Dv and gravity assists with a person you don't know, but is talking about KSP too When you open Stellarium to show the day's night sky to a mate and say "Look ! Tonight we'll be able to see Saturn and Duna here ! Uh.. Mars..." When you open a pack of crisps and says "How this would fly?" When you're talking to a surfer friend about prograde and retrograde vectors applied to surfing and the fact that surfboards have infinite free Dv. When you can't watch a Sci Fi movie without screaming at each technical / physical error. "Nooo ! When you're orbiting, you've to cut the engines !" When you're wondering about the feasibility of flying aircraft carriers.
  6. @Mukita12, sure, everyone can contribute But where do you want them to be? There is several stations available
  7. @Bottle Rocketeer 500 I think it will depend of what kind of module it is. Can you post screenshots of you module?
  8. Maybe it's a little bit oudated subject, but I wanted to share you a wonderful vid of the Tiger Meet 2017 made by the French Naval Air Force (l' Aéronavale) : As I'm living at about 1 hr of road for Landivisiau, I heard them fly However, I was unable to see them from my location. Exept a few times. Enjoy !
  9. Sorry, please skip my turn, I had a problem with my laptop and I'm no longer able to play KSP I said it on Discord, however, the channel is not very busy these times... I'm sorry, I forgot to advert you here. I'll come back later, I hope in less than a week. Go ahead with the stations without me for now. I'm really sorry of being disabled to play KSP as my laptop is broken (battery problem).
  10. IMPORTANT ! I got a problem with my laptop which has KSP 1.3 installed, and I'm not able to use it right now (I forgot my charger in my flat ) The only KSP version I can have access to is an old 1.2.2 version on another computer. So I won't launch the Docking node right now. Skip my turn for this time, I'll be able to complete it on Sunday evening (French time). Sorry about this inconvenient @Paaaad is up !
  11. Hi there ! I'll start my turn today I'm gonna add the Docking Node to the KSS-2 as pictured before. Thanks to @Paaaad and @scottadges for taking care of those extrakerbinial stations I'm thinking in adding something like a landing module to Duna station later...
  12. I love the way this looks But is it as strong as a Rockomax node ? I mean, sometimes clipped parts are not strongly attached to others... In fact, it looks even better than my proposal. How did you build it?
  13. Ok, thanks @Paaaad ! I'm back in the queue to add a docking node to KSS-2 I'm thinking in something like this : Preview of the FAITO-KSSC-KSS2M2-DN03 'Raieaturu' Docking Node Prototype @scottadges, I suggests that we could precise on what station we're going to add a part in the waiting list, and put further informations (in the case of KSS-2) in the KSS-2 Planning Document, in order to keep consistency on this one at least . Maybe everyone should post a preview picture of what they're going to add on the KSS-2, to make sure it stays realistic and coherent.
  14. Thank you @scottadges ! I thing we can use those badges at the same time as your blue one, yours will award participation to the challenge, and mine, contribution to a specific station For the 'K', I followed the old badge's text. It was a K . We may consider renaming the challenge, as I'm really afraid of having to rename each of my badges one by one . @53miner53 will decide. I have a question : Who is next in the queue : You or @Paaaad ? Uhm, and we should precise in which station we're gonna add a module in the waiting list, to ensure people can get their badges
  15. I made a new bunch of badges for the KSS Challenge. They focus on adding modules to stations in orbit around other planets that Kerbin. In fact there is stations all around the System, but only those around Kerbin are used. Those badges will be earned each time someone adds a module to the corresponding station. I hope this will motivate people to add their modules on any station in the System instead only on the KSS-1 LKO station Here are those brand new badges :
  16. Merci Tables are easy to use : Insert > Table This formatting was in fact really simple As I enjoy web design, I already made much more advanced designs, even on websites (ie. coding layout in HTML/CSS ) . @scottadges I love your badges, especially the blue one Let's see if @53miner53 likes them So now the KSS-2 is orbiting Kerbin ! Yeah ! I managed to get a stable circular orbit at 250km (+- 500m). All worked as expected, and, in the words of Werner von Kermann, the Flight Director, "thanks to our advanced technologies like duct tape and struts, we can reasonably say that this mission is a success." Launching in a wonderful sunrise The KSS-2 Core in orbit Let's go for the next turns !
  17. Wow ! So much useful activity here ! I love the way this project is going ! I'll launch the KSS-2 this night (it's currently 18:40 PM here in France), and try to release quickly the save in order to let other people do their turns quickly. I added a new category to the KSS-2 planning document : a listing of all the future modules (those who are sure to be added) and the current ones. This will help to show what modules have actually been built, what ones are under waiting queue, summarize the part count, ect... Feel free to add your module if I forgot it. Oh, and sorry for the response delay, I had to manage with my studies Now I got all the night for me to launch that KSS-2... Yayyy!!
  18. I totally agree with that In my opinion, we should keep this one "realistic", without weird modules docked everywhere in weird ways on the station.
  19. I just looove your crafts, @Cupcake... , amazing work !!
  20. In the waiting list I see 3 persons above me. I may wait for their turns, I guess... The second Kommunity Space Station in LKO, aka. KSS-2 : @53miner53 and me agreed on building a second station in LKO, due to lag caused by the first station which is currently over 500+ parts. In small configurations (as laptops), this lag can make a simple docking barely hard. So a brand new station will be launched on the same orbit as the first one. I'm in charge of the Core Module, and I will proceed to launch on my turn. Same rules apply to this second station. On the Core Module, two Senior docking ports will be available. The Core also features a large reaction wheels system, but no RCS thrusters to keep the part count low. It has two 1x6 solar panels , one large RCS tank and one large battery. There is no crew capabilities in the Core. I suggest people with higher configs still continue to add modules to the first station, so it wont fall in oblivion. A preview of the KSS-2 Core Module
  21. I'm now on the waiting list for LKO Station 2 Thanks @53miner53 ! Will you launch a core part before I commit mine ?
  22. Yeah, it would be a really great idea ! I'm experiencing lag issues with the current main LKO station... If you want, I can launch the second LKO station core with your approbation. Well, I'm going to build a prototype now
  23. So, is it still possible to add something to the Station? Or maybe to another station which isn't finished yet?
  24. Wow ! This idea of a community-built space station is just amazing ! I think I would contribute to it, however I was wondering what kind of module do you need on the LKO station ? It's nearly complete now, with science, habitats, services, escape pods... So I propose a tug module usable for manoeuvers. This tug would have some powerful RCS thrusters and reaction wheels giving it a great manoeuvrability. It would be usable by anyone to manoeuver his/her module without putting RCS on the module or carrying his own tug to orbit. What do you think about this, and what do you really need for the station? Oh, and I have also seen a lot of satellites and probes orbiting aroud Kerbin.... Is there rules to add one there ?
  25. Welcome to the FAITO crafts repository ! Ahoy mateys ! Here I'll present you all my important crafts as they will be designed along the time. You'll find here information, pics and downloads for all the crafts I'll post, and if you need some info, feel free to ask me in comment I don't pretend to be a good designer nor a good builder, but I'm trying to do my best when I start a building project. If you're looking for some astounding crafts or replicas, there is far better anywhere on the forums Each craft will be shortly described and pictured in this first post, however you may find additional info in future posts I'll make each time I'll upload a craft. Exhaustive List : FSS Raiatea Warship [AWB-P1] The Crafts : FSS 'Raiatea' Warship [AWB-P1] The AWB-P1 is a small-but-dangerous armored patroller ship. It’s the very first class of warships produced by FAITO’s Naval Engineering Bureau. Built with care & love by our fellow engineers. Her main goal is to protect the KSC against any flying object like a working rocket or anything else assuming it’s a thing that flies. It provides a large range of dangerous devices, such as Ground-to-Air missiles, cannons, machine-guns, and more. More that 1000 unit of each ammo are stored in the inside. Her great defect : motorization. She's slow. Awfully slow. Our engineers are working on a much better motorized version. Details Type : Warship Class : P1 Raiatea Part Count : 511 Mods : 8 Average Speed: 1m/s Mods : BDArmory, BDArmoryContinued, CactEye 2 Orbital Telescope, Firespitter, KerbalEngineer, Procedural Parts, TweakScale - Rescale Everything! Download ! That's all for now, folks ! Various stuff : What is FAITO Aerospace ? FAITO Aerospace (aka. FAITO) is my fictive space exploration company that have responsibility of running my space program in the right (upper?) direction. FAITO means FAITO Aerospace Innovative Technologies for Orbiters. Yeah, it's a recursive acronym . FAITO Aerospace is directed by Jebediah Kerman (aka. Jeb'). Jebediah Kerman means Jebediah Kerman, witch is not recursive. There is some internal subdivisions in FAITO : FAITO's Naval Engineering Bureau, for all the things that floats or sink. FAITO Research & Development, for all the experimental things that may explode. FAITO Science Committee, for all the 'scientific' things. FAITO Geomapping Bureau, the bureau that scans Kerbin and other celestial bodies to provide fancy maps with SCANSat mod. FAITO, the main subdivision, witch cares of anything looking like a rocket.
