  1. I know this is an old thread... apologies! I think I have further narrowed my performance woes down to Clouds and Scatterer. Scatterer by it self runs decently well. Basically, my mod list in short: √ Spectra v1.6.5 1.12.5 √ Spectra EVE Minmus geysers 1.6.5 1.12.5 √ Spectra Scatterer v1.6.5 1.12.5 √ Spectra Scatterer for Minmus 1.6.5 1.12.5 √ Spectra Scatterer Jool shine on Laythe 1.6.5 1.12.5 √ Spectra Scatterer vibrant sunsets 1.6.5 1.12.5 Spectra EVE 64k Kerbin clouds 2.0 1.12.3 <-- nope Spectra EVE Kerbin and Laythe snow 1.6.5 1.12.5 <-- have not tried, but says its laggy I can mix and match a manual install of Scatterer and other Environment enhancement mods. But no matter what, when I introduce a mod that brings in clouds, I get drastic FPS hits. In closing, the above looks and performs well on an Apple GPU. A little off topic, but once in high orbit, I found other performance hits related to how many Kerbals were being displayed in the bottom right of the screen. Limiting that, or out-right turning it off increased my FPS. Neat find.
  2. I've been narrowing my performance issues down to scatterer only. All other mods (Spectra w/out scatterer, planet shine, EVE) are working fine. I see 90+ fps on my M3 Max Pro at 4K resolutions (but I choose to play at 2K for obvious eye strain on the UI). I go from 120-90 fps to 30-25 fps when I bring in scatterer. I love Spectra/Scatter on my Windows rig with a RTX40xx... but yeah... Whatever post process technique scatterer is using, doesn't play nice with Mac OpenGL/METAL, etc.
  3. Galaxies Unbound [GU], is an amazing mod. I found myself today installing a new instance of KSP and needing guidance on GU's installation procedure. I was surprised to see it physically removed, on behalf of the author. Next stop: Backups. As far as I can tell folks just want the original authors content, like myself (no plagiarism altered copies desired). According to GU's license: Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International Public License anyone may redistribute GU. The license in the version I have says so anyways.
