it could be, I'm suspicious that they are hitting the same artificial save file limit as the FTE port. it's frustrating, but this first release is miles ahead of FTE's first attempt, so that give me hope.

I hit this every time. I've never used cheats. I often send up a ship with multiple probes that I switch to. Can only switch once without going to the tracking station.

I've hit the control lock as well, I have a feeling there's some sort of state lock, maybe the autosave or some other periodic event interacts poorly with some user initiated event, like switching vehicles.
