So I am making bottle rockets and I have 2 questions: 1: Where can I get soda bottles from? I am on a trip to Australia and I don’t wanna have to drink 5 sodas in 5 weeks. And I dont want to spend too much money. 2: How can I build the launcher? I am not sure how many pumps I should put in with the bike pump, not sure how to stop water from flowing out of the bottle and in to the bike pump, not sure what diameter of pvc tube I should use, and not sure how to make a mechanism that will release it when it is primed. I would appreciate it greatly if someone helped me with this. Thank you for your time. Ok, i did some stuff and realised you can store as many experiments as you want inside a command pod, so there is no need to have an aentenna! I just realised this and it’s much simpler than having an aentenna. Thanks for the help!

Ahhh, yes. So the HG-55 can relay too? Thank you for helping me with this, @Rocket In My Pocket and @4x4cheesecake. I forgot about the factor of the Mun blocking the signal or the KSC not being on the right side.

So in my early science mode with I flew to Minimus and my antenna couldn't handle the range. My rocket is similar to the one seen here... but I added on a HG-55 high gain antenna for good measure, and once I passed the Mun, it stopped working. Could someone help me?

So I’m not a very violent person but everyone seems to have it so I gave it a shot (literally). So I wanted to blow up the crater crawler and I came close to it with a tank with the biggest gun in the mod and I tried to blow up the crater crawler but then my cannon rounds were PINK and they didn’t even scratch it? How do I fix this (even though soon I’m going to remove BD Armoury from the GameData folder because I’m not a big fan of it, even though it is a bit cool)?

@sdj64 Im going to start from scratch and build a Mk3 SSTO, so that I can have a bigger Convert-O-Tron, a bigger drill, AND just if I add an extra one seat module with some science stuff I can compete at Jeb’s level for the Jool-5. Also, thanks for the advice.

Well... now that you ring that up, I was relying on the size to be the same as each other. Okie, so just half my math... 0.2 kilograms per unit. For comparison, a single unit of monopropellant is 4 kilograms, liquid fuel is 5kg per unit, oxidizer is also 5kg per unit, ore is 10kg per unit, and xenon gas is 0.1kg per unit, and to clarify, the goo is a solid or liquid, xenon gas is GAS. So it is always going to be lighter than anything BTW Thank you @The Aziz for that conversion. I was just too lazy so I kept it in tons.

I compared the goo containment unit to the stratus-v cylindrified monopropellant tank and did the math... ... it turns out that, according to my math, a unit of Mystery Goo would weigh only 0.0004 tons. That is some lightweight stuff, man.

Make it so if you bought KSP on computer before you can have it on iPad for free, like if I bought KSP on Steam (which I did) then you will get an email with an access code or something to KSP mobile edition. Squad will only have to develop something simple, like old beta KSP, just a few fuel tanks and engines and pods so that it would be comparable to an app like SimpleRockets or Spaceflight Simulator.

Ahhhh... (insert 4 letter profanity in all caps)! I made the SSTA on a different computer while I was on a trip that happen so to be 4,000 kilometres from where I am now, so I emailed the craft file to myself, opened it up on KSP version 1.4.2, and bullcrap happens and it proclaims I cannot open the craft since there are “unknown parts”, even though it is fully stock and stuff and nonsense happens and I scream and rage quit KSP. I spent like 45 minutes of my precious life designing that SSTA and now it is gone. Anyway, I will post the file here, gotta go somewhere for 2 days, can’t post right now, so I will put it up later. I don’t wanna use rapiers because the NERVs will be doing most of the interplanetary travel and I only need an engine like the closed-cycle RAPIER mode for powering me through the upper atmosphere on a suborbital trajectory where airbreathing engines flame out and NERVs have a very low thrust and it would take too much time to circularize, so I don’t need four of them. I have heard rapiers are not very efficient, and doing the Jool-5, which I am doing with this ship, I need maximum efficiency. Although I guess landing on Tylo would me much easier with 4 rapiers in closed-cycle... Maybe I just PermaPruned a part with Janitor’s Closet and I forgot about it.

I'm just tweaking my brand-new SSTA which is about 50 tones and has a crew of 1 kerbalnaut and I'm not sure if I should keep my layout of 4 turbo ramjets, two NERVAs, and two LV-T45 "Swivel" engines.I am torn between that or 4 rapiers and 2 NERVAs. What would you choose?

My only real problem with them is how late they always are. Almost every time I have flown on United it has been late. I guess stuff like when the doctor was dragged off the plane and smashed guitars is due to problems with single staff and no the airline. I did get tic tacs in my "freshen up" kit though .
