Thinkpad T430? I think you meant the thinkpad T43, I think the onboard intel graphics are causing the issue, it happened to a friend of mine. Bottleneck is what I suspected and when the GPU was upgraded then his problem was solved. He got the GPU changed and then reinstalled the OS, that solved all other problems as well.
