Thanks Genovast. He wants to try 1.7.0 with the Probes Before Crew mod. I'm reading the post. I see the download instructions with a link to Spacedock. Spacedock says it won't work with 1.7.1. I don't see a link for 1.7.0 in the KSP store. I can get 1.6.1 from the KSP store. Do you recommend going with 1.6.1? He's Pokemon-ing now. I'll get him to read the entire post to be sure this is what he wants to do. Thanks 5thHorseman. I'm going to learn how to get older versions from STEAM now and flag this post when the questions about older versions come up again!

Geonovast, my son wants to try out a mod, UnManned Before Manned, that is only available in 1.3. Would appreciate some instructions on how to find Beta version in STEAM. Thank you!

My son has installed version 0.1.15 of this mod for KSP 1.3.1. He is not able to deploy the parachutes following the instructions. Are there known issues with this version?

My son has successfully installed the following mods with KSP 1.3.1: Kerbal Reusability Expansion 2.6 Kerbal Engineer 1.1.3.0 Stage Recovery 1.7.2 Trajectories 2.0.0 TweakScale 2.3.7 X_Science 5.11 He is having the following problems with the following mods: Procedural Parts 1.2.15 :: None of the parts appear MechJeb 2.6.1 ::The parts appear but the functionality does not work RealPlume :: Does not change the particle fix (which is should) Any ideas on why these three mods are not working as expected? Thank you Gargamel. Walking through the process of manually installing the Mod showed me that CKAN was installing the mods in the 1.4.3 Game Data directory rather than in the 1.3.1 Game Data directory. Manually adding the mod files via GitHub to the right directory worked! My son is so happy!

My son is running KSP v 1.3.1. He is using CKAN, selecting the setting to filer mods down to those compatible with 1.3.1 and attempted to install MechJeb and other mods. CKAN reports the install successful but when we go to KSP, the changes are not there. Any suggestions?
