Can someone explain this contract?
SamTheShark replied to SamTheShark's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks, I understand now -
Mods: Docking port alignment indicator, trajectories, Kerbal-Constructs, RasterProp Monitor, Mod. Manager and Warp Everywhere. After loading my save on an altitude of about 1200 M above the surface of Eve, the game functions normally for around 3 seconds before my ship explodes, put at an altitude of 139822 M and speed of, ahem, 3542319.9 M/s. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Issues with CKAN-OSX
SamTheShark replied to SamTheShark's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Alright, I'll try that thread out, thanks -
Alright, for the last few weeks I have attempted to install CKAN on my Mac since I heard it was wonderful for installing add-ons, but it seems that every time I get even remotely close to opening it, something goes wrong. Now, I'm no computer wizard, but I followed the user guide and the install guide to the minute, but just cannot seem to open the GUI. I try opening CKAN.dmg, the icon appears for 1-second before closing. I use the directions for the terminal, nothing happens. At this point, I'm ready to just go back to manual installing even though it's much more tedious. Here are some of my specs (feel free to laugh): MacBook Air (13-inch, 2017), 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Macintosh HD, Intel HD Graphics 6000 1536 MB, macOS Mojave, V 10.14.3. My KSP version is 1.6.1. Any tips would be appreciated. Also, I downloaded both the .exe and the .dmg files from here, since I wasn't sure which one to use(I have tried both). Thanks!

Aerodynamic Problems
SamTheShark replied to SamTheShark's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Much appreciated! -
I was building an SSTO and noticed that the vector arrow for the center of lift was missing. I have an elevon and airplane control surface on each wing in addition to 2 space plain tail fins and the blue orb for the CoL is behind the CoM. Is it important that this arrow is missing? Also is there a way to fix it? Thanks!

Space Shuttle Help
SamTheShark replied to SamTheShark's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I suppose that's true, but wouldn't a smaller-sized shuttle be more likely to burn up during re-entry? -

Space Shuttle Help
SamTheShark replied to SamTheShark's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Is it preferable to have the CoT through the CoM or is that what should be avoided? -
So I tried to make a space shuttle to carry small payloads to my space station, however upon starting the engines, it abruptly heads toward the VAB direction, the opposite of which direction intend for. Any tips on correcting this unbalance?

How to fix stability problems
SamTheShark replied to SamTheShark's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Thanks for all the information! -
My rocket has a large problem with remaining rigid in flight and the main body "wiggles" as it gains speed. I would appreciate any tips on how to remedy this.

Nice video @5thHorseman And I am happy to report that my rocket can and did reach Minmus!
-
Interesting, @James Kerman, I'll have to try that. I'll update once I try it!

Thanks, everyone for the encouragement. I'm still a noob, so a long way to go before Minmus!

I am relatively new to the game, and after logging in about 40 hours, I have finally managed to land on the mun! It was especially hard because it was a dark side landing and I only had 6 lights to keep me for destroying all my (un-quicksaved) work. And without further ado, here are some of the screenshots that I took. I would also like to see any first mun landing post that you may have
