Heat in 1.02 (and reentry)

Listen, in 1.01/1.02 it's literally impossible to burn up. A HEATSHIELD-LESS capsule dropped straight into the atmosphere at >3km/s won't heat over 500 degrees, AND it slows down to terminal velocity well before the ground. If squad felt the need to increase drag and lift values, that's fine, but now heating serves no purpose. Not only that, but spaceplanes can now glide at like 20m/s due to the increased lift and drag. These things really need a re-balance. -
Hey, so I recently got 0.90.0.705, running mac OSX 10.10.1 and in any folder I unzipp, after a while, (serveral launches/contracts) all the menu elements become unresponsive ingame, and stay that way anytime the game is loaded from that file afterwards. What this means is, although they detect the mouse hovering, they don't allow interaction. The buttons that don't work include: Entering the SPH/VAB. Leaving (but NOT entering) the Mission Control and Astronaut buildings. The "Quit to main menu" button in the pause menu. (but not the resume game or settings button) The "Return to space centre" button in the pause menu and at the top of the screen, as well as the "recover vessel" button. Despite this, the main menu of the game seems completely normal even after the bug has occurred. Quitting KSP does not fix it, but unzipping and re-launching does temporarily. Does anyone have more exact coordinates? I've scoured the area where the two craters meet for dozens of kilometers around with a rover, but I can't seem to find the darn camera mast.

I'm pretty sure that is the location of the mars rover camera mast, but it's really quite small. I dropped a rover into the general area, but I haven't spotted it yet. If someone could give the exact choords for it, that would be great.

Okay, I've mucked about with Terminal trying to get this darn thing to work, and when I finally get the directories right, terminal pops up with this: ln: /KSP.app: Permission denied Any idea how to get this mod working?

I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere, but I can't get any decoupled parts to do anything, just on the launch pad. I have various antennae, an RC unit, an RC SAS, and it still doesn't work. When I first start the launch, the remotetech window pops up, but for decoupled stuff, there's no settings window, no staging, and no control. What do I need on a decoupled bit for it to be controlled, within range of mission control? -

Like a lot of people, I can\'t get the patcher to work. I\'ve tried it at least 8 times already. I know the patcher was meant to reduce bandwidth, but continually redownloading the patch can\'t be much better. So will the store version of KSP be updated to .16 soon?

There\'s one just north of the launch pad, with a decent resolution you should be able to see it every launch. There are about three on the mun, and a lot more on kerbin.

Wow, man, thanks a ton for doing this for me! (the sad thing is, it still doesn\'t work, now reading \'/Users/<redacted>/Desktop/KSP_osx/KSP.app/Contents\..\../Parts\'. Has it moved down one instead of up two? I also tried making a parts folder with the powersat in the folders it appears to be consulting, no luck there.)

The mac parts folder is inside the KSP_osx folder.

Does anyone know how to make this work? Is the thing just incompatible with the filestructure on a mac? Or am I just an idiot? It keeps stopping on the loading screen.

I\'m having a similar problem to those above. I\'m on the latest version of KSP, and I\'m using the 1.1 plugin. It gets stuck on loading, the readout is as follows: Cfg Parsing... AddComponent requested: PowerSat PowerSat found. PowerSat /Users/<redacted>/Desktop/KSP_OSK/KSP.app/Contents DirectoryNotFoundException: Directory \'/Users/<redacted>/Desktop/KSP_osx/KSP.app/Contents\.../Parts\' not found. Any help would be awesome!
