The Skylab Teleoperator Retreival System is now on github in an early alpha state. Consists of a probe core (with 6 axis attitude control), optional solar panels, and independent prolusion kits each of which contains a large store of monopropellant and 8 thrusters (this works as an engine not RCS).

Theres also a camera (with light), some separate lights, and an omni antenna (attached to the propulsion kit here).

Little 0.3125m docking ports for probes. The top node of the probe core can be switched from the 0.625m point (for the apollo port) to this flat end like below.

    I think its beautifully cursed!

Can't wait to send the Shuttles to Skylab with that bad boy! Those parts are beautiful! Fantastic work as always!

An OPSEK/Tiangong in steroids. Very nice :D

Here is a Kerbalism CFG. Should work as long as you have DMagicOrbitalScience AND DMagicScienceAnimate. I have also not bothered to balance transfer rates or data sizes so atm they are all 150 hours. The landing scoop is not patched and I might do it at a later point but since I am new to the kerbalism mod in general I have to look into how samples work a bit better. This is not intended to be added to probesplus but more for people that come here looking for a patch. I do not have the skills to release and maintain it since I basically only copied and pasted Kerbalisms cfgs.

If you want to change any data rates go into the cfg and just change these numbers. That being said about half the parts are patched by Kerbalism in the Dmagicorbialscience cfgs so they are properly balanced anyway.

At the expense of the Nova C-8, this wonderful (yes, yes, I am very angry when this missile is considered unworthy of the BDB, while a bunch of garbage parts like the Nimbus or would-be spy laboratories are considered "useful")

As a last resort, Nova can be built using SSTU or procedural parts (or both)
Tonight I was able to sketch Nova proving that the idea is quite viable.

I have 32GB RAM and I can install a lot of mods, but for people with less capacity, there is a theoretical way out - just remove the unnecessary parts of the SSTU, leaving only what is needed, thereby reducing the file size.
Or use procedural parts. This is a very useful and convenient thing, it does not take up much space and, in my opinion, should be installed by EVERYONE for all occasions.

Blasphemy is one of the adjectives i'd use. Not for the C8, but for the insult to the probes part kit. SPECIALLY Nimbus

The grey probe on the left in the replacement version. Yes, it should be live

I think i didn't understand. As i understood, there will be two versions of the Barchetta: the one on the picture and a shorter one. Are they in the new version? That's because i have a lot of kitbashed satellites using Barchetta as base (a lot like the Russian Express 1000N/K/AT satellites), and in a certain type of rocket, i can have three of them on a single launch.

    Good to hear! Thanks

I appreciate you checking and reporting back

    UPDATE

First pass on the new Barquetta bus. You're losing the 6-axis RCS control in favor of new MR-103D styled clusters and as you can see, it is slightly larger and heavier. About 25% or so for balancing reasons. I'll also look into a "light" version of it that isn't so tall.

Just a question. Is the "light" version of the Q02M Barchetta live? Or is just this version?

Been working on pioneer, found a couple proposals centered around a Saturn/Uranus atmosphere probe.

    E8SrLQBVoAIBglx?format=jpg&name=900x900

Since I’m already doing a few pioneer proposal parts (specifically pioneer orbiter) it wouldn’t hurt to make a couple more. I did find a few other proposals that were very out there but those seem a little more ambitious and I will probably just stick with the atmosphere probe for now.

    ADORABLE!!!!

    Can't wait for launching this.

Just a question... will you make also the Pioneer-Jupiter combo Orbiter-Probe (Contract NAS-2-6859 seen in your first post i'm quoting), or me should choose between orbiting or a probe?

I just realized I haven't given many updates on Pioneer in a while. It is 98% done being modelled. Unwrapping will be next, and then I will begin texturing. Here are some pics:

And here's a pic of the pioneer 10/11 orbiter proposal parts that will  be included:

    Very nice!!!

Also i'm waiting for Pioneer Venus... Any plans for complexion? I hope use the entry probes for a very nice "Grand Tour"

  8. A Ultra Long Duration - High DV - Multiplanetary Grand Tour has begun:

    Parking orbit: 85 * 110 km

    Intermediate orbit 85 * 1800 km (based on a 2.5x Kerbin System)

This is "Grand Tour"... a 7.7 tons, 15 instruments, solar and RTG powered ion engine spacecraft. Currently, this mission has to accomplish 5 maneuvers for getting out of Kerbin's SOI. After that, she's going all the way to Sarnus via Jool. With a dV of 17 km/s, she has enough for doing that with no aligments for gravity assitances.

Yep. An Atlas E/F With OBA/OSA engines (Called "IRAZÚ" in my game, honoring another volcano and the first satelite of my country), can put (but just barelly) a Lunar Orbiter together a Pioneer 6 with solid engines on a munar transference orbit...

    Later, i'll post images.

It might just be me, but I can see a lot of kitbashing uses for the instrumentation on Pioneer-Venus, too.

I just can imagine a Jool-Sarnus-Neidon-Comet (or another celestial body) analogous to an Orbiter Spaceflight Simulator mod that contained a Jupiter-Saturn-Neptune-Eris probe (concept on video below). And the other instruments can go to many armadas...

Other thing is lacking this mod is... The legendary spinner satellites! (From IntelSat 4 to 6, passing to SDS, and the prolific HS-376). I'd use the buses for that. Fortunately the robotic parts exist and can be used for pointing the antennas to Kerbin. ;)

@flamerboy67664worth noting that Astronautix, and the SLS page in particular, aren't exactly... the most impartial of sources, let's say? :) The X-20 page is also fairly bad if I remember.

Also just wanted to respond to this sentiment in particular - I'm *really* not good at making up stuff. As decent as I am on the execution, I really rely on reference for inspiration. So the less there is about something, the more difficulty I'll have doing it.

Wait really? I know I yellow clock for... most launches actually, but I don't think I've experienced FPS that low in a long time. And the Apollo/Saturn stack isn't even that part intensive?

We have Pioneer Venus like... half done? I was working on it last winter and kinda... lost all motivation for it. I don't know if I can get it back tbh. If I remember I just got frustrated with how janky they felt, lot of single use stuff with weird modeling issues and stuff. Now that we have @Invaderchaos confidently doing foil at least that's one less issue to worry about. Idk.

For me; they look very well for the stage they are. Hope you can complete this pack. I have 3 Irazús (Atlas 2A Equivalents) and two Arenals (Titan 34 with liquid--fuel auxiliary boosters) on an armada for Eve, Moho, Duna and Jool and these parts will be an excelent mix for the invasion.

LOVELY!!! Can't wait for testing it!

Also i'd like to have Pionneer Venus spacecraft and... on a later release the TIROS-N (DMSP, NOAA, N-ROSS, LANDSAT).
