  1. I actually landed on the other side of that ridge there, and had to hover the lander at 1000 meters to get to the actual base.
  2. You actually can sink parts! Here\'s how it happened to me: Launched CSS shuttle. Boosters broke off by my doing. One flipped upside down and plowed into the ocean. Went to the bottom, stopped firing, didn\'t come back up. Drove a boat out the next mission, found it underwater, still pointing vertically.
  3. Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the solution to... nothing. The BFPS-1! It stands for: Big Fracking Piece of Stupidity v.1 It has 33 engines firing on takeoff, 30 liquids and 3 solid. The solids eject first, followed by three vectoring engines, followed by the other 27, with 6 after that, then 3, then 1, and then a lunar lander with one engine and eight lander legs for extra stability. And yes, it does make it to the Mun. Because, Jeb said so. It is entirely stock as well. Make sure to use the RCS on takeoff, as it likes to tilt beyond 18,000 meters.
  4. Very much so. May I suggest that everyone goes to the spacecraft exchange and joins the community base 3? It\'s gonna be great once we get going. Back on topic... best of luck setting things up, and a big thanks to all the people who have worked on this, and thanks to those that didn\'t collapse into flame wars in the past threads. I hope everyone will join me in saying thank you, and if there is anything I can do that I can actually do, let me know.
  5. I\'d like to get in line for another landing of the same base, but at the South Pole on Kerbin, for the first Kerbin base.
  6. We made it! It has a total of five functional fuel tanks, with a sixth that... has a fuel line that accidentally leads to the airlock/hatchway. I am a bit ashamed. It landed within 100 meters from the big refueling one. It also has enough fuel to return to orbit around Minmus, and possibly Kerbin. I\'d say put it under green. Mediafire link to new persistance file (for the next guy in line ONLY):http://www./?rxe22sis5dszrkk Mods added: NovaPunch and BACE 3.1
  7. Radion Space Works is unique, just like the rest of us.
  8. Steve5451 is a KSP forums user with an avatar picture, and a post count, as well as an avatar picture and a signature. Just like the rest of us.
  9. Note that I normally fly it with canards (which also jettison on capsule separation). It weighs so very much that it\'s almost impossible to fly properly without them. This is the only really \'complete\' plane I\'ve made. By complete I mean: It has to be an F-15.
  10. May I suggest a save file with a barge or two in the water, for VTOL landing practice?
  11. Here\'s a small suggestion: Spelling and Grammar. Without it, I won\'t look at anything.
  12. Yes, but I (and presumably some others) never use twitter. I rarely use my email at that, with all of it\'s 588 spam messages in inbox, majority of which are from stupid Facebook.
  13. I suggest a Mailing List. People sign up for the KSPRP mailing list, and are eithe rPM\'ed on this forum, or are emailed updates about the RP! This would include: Forum downtime Worldwide events Other important goings-on.
  14. Anyone know where the hell the train to Pittsburgh is?
  15. Granted, but questions with less than four words will be allowed. I wish for space.
  16. Now, with a permanent installation on minmus, even if we are low on fuel, we won\'t be returning. Does that mean it would be undamaged, or out of fuel?
  17. meh. I just want to see what I got wrong.
  18. One more hour where I am. Also, for population on the new forums, how are supposed to tell how many pixels our claim is?
  19. Some appaws for this man. Better than what I could do.
  20. I tested my habitation base in a separate KSP. It works beautifully. Granted, It probably can\'t land on the Mun, so it\'s guaranteed for Minmus, unless by some freak accident we lose half our fuel.
