  1. Anarcho-communism. Basically, they don't have a government, they are just a group of like-minded individuals who work together to build rockets and explore space for the sake of building rockets and exploring space. Because in the end, what else matters?
  2. Another option would be heliostats that use large solar sails to counter gravity.
  3. It looks a bit crushed...it's perfect!
  4. It says "I left the emergency slide-rule in the bottom right cabinet."
  5. Roddo Kerman snapped this pic of the OB-1 on approach for the first crew rotation of my latest space station:
  6. We can put lights on launch clamps now: Night launches just got 72% more awesome!
  7. My first landing for .20: The plaque engraver left out the part about bigger explosions, so Jeb made sure to land the capsule on his car.
  8. There are other possibilities. Project Rho has a whole page on alien life, and what it would be made of.
  9. Enjoy. Needless to say, the impulse provided by a solar sail is orders of magnitude to small to use for landing, not to mention the fact that the only time it would slow you decent is when you have some pesky rock between you and the sun. EDIT: Wow my phone hates copying and pasting URLs.
  10. Explosions in space don't make fireballs. The fact that they seem to be trying to be reasonably accurate just makes their mistakes worse.
  11. Technically you did go to space. Just not for very long. I wish my internet would stop acting up long enough for me to download FAR, it looks like so much fun.
  12. Behold the might of my sub-blimp-marine-mobile!!!
  13. It's not misleading, it's just confused. Seems to happen whenever you are 2 or more SoI changes from a solar orbit.
  14. Oschon-E clipped through the terrain at 11.8km and exploded, so I am going to call that the highest point on Eve(within ~30 meters, it's pretty flat up there). Also found a spot for a new resort. Come for the views, stay because we don't have a rocket big enough to get into orbit! EDIT: Something I just noticed; the indicator on the atmosphere bar in the first pic is just a little bit to the left. It would seem that the atmospheric density at the top of that mountain is about Kerbin-normal. Edit2: After several attempts, I can conclude that terrain on Eve breaks at about 11800m and you pass right through. Can anyone else confirm?
  15. I just "fixed" it. They do that to me a lot for some reason.
  16. Currently trying to summit the tallest mountain on Eve. The rover Oschon-E descended on parachute to the valley north of Omega Mons, at an ASL altitude of ~3.7km. It has since climbed to ~8.8km. Orbital Surveyor Llymlaen-E has revealed that Oschon-E is about halfway to the summit.
  17. It happens once every orbit, its just a matter of being in the right spot.
  18. Mission Control, I think we have a problem.
  19. Nutt007 found this while orbiting Tylo: http://soundcloud.com/dphaklides/sagananomaly Maybe it's related to the Duna one?
  20. And my first(non-cheaty) trip to Eve: It seems our purple neighbor got in a fight with another planet:
  21. Normal and Antinormal markers on the nav-ball, and the locations of my ascending ans descending nodes on the map screen.
  22. While trying to put a mapsat around minmus, i got this little gem: A free return trajectory...thanks Mun, thanks a lot.
