per example, imagine trade routes in multiplayer, building new permanent structures to facilitate shorter thus more efficient routes like a train, rocket base or airport etc, even in single player it would be even easier.
players could exchange on a marketplace and get resources delivered by automated ships, others could fight for territory with space jets or space bombardment system, that way we could have actual wills in servers, it'd be amazing if said servers could rotate each 6 months to break up monopolies and create new things etc
