Bewing is right on the money in my opinion and gives you 1 way to look at the problem, so I'll give you the reverse solution since you seem to want to make an agile plane. Make your vertical stabilizer bigger.
Notice how fighter jets with canards almost always have equally impressive vertical and/or horizontal stabilizers. Sometimes the vertical stabilizer(s) has/have almost as much surface area as a single wing! This is so the planes have authority in the relevant axes in almost any situation, sometimes even spins.
You have insane pitching ability because of the canards, ailerons and the big wings (yes, the wings help too, remember the Fokker triplane?).
Rolls might be also fairly high because of the 2 sets of ailerons and possibly the canards if you didn't disable roll for them.
For yaw you only have the single little surface. See the pattern here?
So add a nice big back fin, or two. That should make the jet naturally stable. If it reacts very aggressive when you use yaw, only then dial back the angle of actuation. This last bit is also true for pitch and roll. Dial back and/or limit the number of participating surfaces if the plane is too aggressive handling. -
Today I attempted a rescue of Jeb that I accidentally marooned on the Mun.
This was the first time I properly used a delta-v map for the construction of a dedicated rocket. Thanks community! I also used it to check if every flight-phase went according to plan.
The 3-person capsule was chosen, Val and Bob put in, and the whole thing had 200 m/s of dv to spare, but somehow - because I tried to get as close as possible to Jeb's location - after landing I came up 200 m/s dv short for the mission total. I used 400 m/s of dv more than average! I'll have to work on that landing...
The extra maneuvering was in vain too because I landed 3+ km away from Jeb. Jeb's lander didn't have the fuel to orbit, but he did have just enough to make a little hop towards Val.Did some first-time science on the Mun, got Jeb in and launched towards Kerbin. All while hoping I could make it there despite the fuel shortage.
And I did make it. Had some fuel to spare again to lower the Ap in order to make reentry less severe.
400+ science added, lots of funds, 3 missions checked off and one happy Jeb! -
TonybM, I don't want to discourage you, but I seriously doubt Star Theory is going to make and maintain multiple separate versions of KSP 2.
Squad did the same thing for a while with an 32-bit and 64-bit version. In the end they stopped with the 32-bit version as that was getting used less and less by people and they wanted to go forwards.I do know where you're coming from. I myself can barely run KSP on my old potato right now. I am already at ease with the fact that I probably won't be able to run KSP2, but this is the way it's always been in gaming, PC or console.

Double monitor support?
Ow, I would love this!
It'd be nice to have your instruments on a separate (smaller) screen. -
Wait for meeee! <huf puf>
Part of the reason of hype is the lack of details that often accompany such an announcement.
You start to wonder how exactly multiplayer will work in practice. How will civilizations improve the KSP experience?
My mind starts to wander... -
Wow, this good news totally blindsided me! And I didn't hear any rumors about it too.
I'm excited about this new version, but I'm also curious as to the PC requirements.
-
It's been 8 years already?
Wow, those years went by so fast!
Kudos to the devs for supporting KSP for so long. Not many high-profile developers do that nowadays. -
Just now I discovered this thread. Scrolled through the pictures. What mad contraptions am I seeing?!
Amazing are the possibilities with such a teeny addition to the game. Keep them coming everyone! -
After 2 years of absence from the game I re-acquainted myself with an old friend, the Mun.
I made Jeb land a craft onto the surface. Of course, now he's stranded there. I should've figured it wouldn't be as easy as slapping lander legs on my Mun-orbiter and calling it a day... -
Your pretty much right.
In the years of playing KSP, I've come to believe that rockets don't become much bigger once you leave Kerbin. A manned munshot rocket only needs a little extra fuel tank to make it interplanetary. The low dV requirements of outer space make it so. -
Landing legs made from decouplers (my favorite) or AV-R8 Winglets because you had to.

I myself have a 3dconnection Space Navigator for which I can confirm works with the current version of KSP on my computer. For this I installed only the latest official driver.
I know there are some other 3rd party drivers which enable you to map the 3d mouse axes like a normal joystick, but these can give compatibility issues. -
Is it an old device? Because it sounds to me as a dirty old potentiometer. You could try to use one of the other axes (the red or blue one) to see if the problem is also present on those.

Along with a certain altitude, another requirement that accompanies the request is you being either below or above said altitude.
It's easy to forget this after going, say, above a given altitude for a certain number of waypoints. This extra requirement can even be different per waypoint in the same contract. For instance, when you need to take a crew report for 3 destinations, 2 can be above 8km, 1 waypoint is below 7km.
Check the contract to the letter. -
Could you provide a screenshot? It would make it easier for us to help.
Are you using a probe-core? Some can't use SAS.
Are the solar panels (small?) delivering enough electricity for the (big?) SAS? Look at the detailed fuel panel on the right to find out. -
Oude topic, maar toch handig en leuk om te zien dat "oude bekenden" van het forum toch "stiekem" Nederlands, Belgisch of Zuid-Afrikaans blijken te zijn!

While cycling to work I say a little baby gull. It was making cute sounds. These kind of things always make my day!
As annoying the adult gulls are, my heart melts when I see the little ones.
The breeding season is almost over here, but there are always some latecomers. I don't mind... -
When I hear your problem, 2 things come to mind.
If you've used some trimming (alt + attitude keys), the SAS will act accordingly. You can easily press the alt button accidentally while making maneuvers.
Also, if you have a controller plugged in, a slight miscalibration or "loose sticks" can also cause unexpected thrusting. -
But but, why would you take away the
challengefun of doing this manually? -
I'm betting Squad will expand the usage of the new inventory system that we saw introduced in the last update. It's in there now, but not fully exploited yet. There's some more potential there.

These days it's Final Fantasy VIII on the PSP.
I've never finished it. For the record, I've started this game about 5 times, but now I'm further than ever before. I must persevere!
Does anyone sometimes have the same problem of starting a game over and over again without finishing it? -

When we go to sleep, we usually just wake up the next day or in the night or some other time. If I can see my dad asleep, will he be already waking up in the morning, going throughout his day, while I'm still awake the previous night? O_o
Hmm, I'm not quite sure what you mean by this.
If you see your dad sleeping, he can't be waking up.On a slightly related note. Lately, during the day, I'm remembering dreams I've had years ago that I've never been able to recall before. What does that mean and why only now?

Welcome Cosmo!
5thHorseman is right about the changes in KSP. For instance, the parts have been balanced and re-balanced a lot of times, so some old favorite parts of yours may work differently now than you'll remember.
And for sure, making crafts more pretty is easier now! -
Hi ISOREX_ and welcome to the forums and this wonderful game!
I'm a bit ashamed to say this but, I've never been farther than the Mün myself and I've played KSP since 0.13.3. Still, I do have a lot of experience with planes of any kind and try to help people build/fly theirs. All I'm saying is, there's always someone that has more experience in something than you but, that shouldn't stop you from playing KSP how you want or how fast to progress.
One things is for certain. You will get better, learn a lot and develop your own building style. I'm curious to see what you'll create!
how many salty 9 year old kids will come to ksp2 and give a one star review because it "twoo hrad"?

Such a biased generalization about 9 year olds is really not productive and I didn't expect such a statement coming out of this predominantly friendly community.
When I was that age I didn't have much patience to persevere through tough games, but I did enjoy watching my dad play them. Those are memories I'll cherrish forever.
Besides, it worked out in the end because some years later I beat those same games.
So even if such a 9 year old walkes away from KSP 2, they could very well come back to it later and fully enjoy them still.
Also, like most have already pointed out here, the developers have the intention to make KSP 2 more accessible than its predecessor.
