NP - glad to help!
Just be aware that while a Kerbal can take all the combined science to the other ship via EVA, if you have a rover and no Kerbal, the only way to transfer data etc. is to dock.
This means, that if my Satellite (Probe) have collected some samples as well, dockig is the only possiblity to get the samples or is there any other solution for this? (e.g. Kerbal on EVA gets very close, grabing the probe or any similar than this)

Related to this, what if the thing collecting the science is a probe instead?
So for example the kerbals stay on the mothership, send down a probe to do all the science. The probe returns to the mothership. If it can dock then the science is automatically added to the mothership. But what if it can't dock? Can a kerbal go out and collect the data? This questions interrests me as well. Is there any answers for this question?

Alright, I couldn't let this one go and it was driving me nuts. I'm not proud of the amount of hours I put into this...so many trial and errors and getting SOOOOO close, but not close enough. I gave up and then went back to the drawing board later and came up with a more 'staged' approach where smaller and smaller engines funnel fuel out of the larger ones. The thought process was based on the fact that I could easily get the apoapsis more than high enough, but never got the periapsis high enough. By staging the rockets TWR, it allowed me to 'coast' farther out so I could stop pushing the AP and start pushing the PE...
Anyway, here's my attempt/success. I had a little too much fuel in the final section and didn't want to cheat the challenge by time warping to stop the rotation, so it's a fairly long video with a few points getting close to throwing the orbit off, but in the end I got a nice stable orbit.
Oh also, the end of the video has most of the important parts of the build shown incase anyone wants to mess with it...weirdly enough, after it worked 1 time, I started recording it, and it failed, then the 3rd attempt it worked again...not sure what was different, but could just be some randomnesses being tossed in...
Sweet challenge, thanks for the idea!!
Congrats! Nicely done!

31 Attempts and a few hours of editing later...
enjoy the memes btw lol
Very nice! It was fun to watch!
Also the execution of tricks were amazing.

I am working on a challenge, which is the sequel of this one. Speed, aircraft handling, everything.
Start counting!

Hello
Some of you may remember me as JebNotFound, but I am reborn as Toaster355
Any of you know a good way to get some quick posts in so I can quickly get to customizing my account? Thanks and I love you allHello!
I'd suggest to give some feedbacks in the "challenge" posts. The creators or participants will appreciate it.

My last 2 days was about the "Fastest under the bridge".
Big thanks to @Socraticat - he made it very challenging every time!
And as a closure for today, yet no one asked - but here is my video or the (current) record for the "Fastest under the bridge" :

That's it for me on this challenge for now, lol. I'll leave you with these two failed passes with some impressive speeds from our new direction. It's there, I just cant handle how long it takes for each pass anymore! By the time I get out far enough to take a shot, I'm left with just enough fuel to play for a minute, then land. I still have to do my apollo mission!
Attempt Screenshots in spoiler: 696m/s and 829m/s
Whoa! Almost got me!
I also made some modifcations on my craft, to be able to beat the next record.
Not giving up, plenty of room to improve.
GL to the WC#4, I'm aloso on it.

@BeakyBuzz Oh, I see...
You've changed up the direction and the saga continues...
Off to my cave again...
Is it okay from this direction? Because if not, I will make it from the other one.

As a response, let me share my fastest pass under the bridge:
770m/s
Done it last night, but it took me a while to make the video
Sadly, I do not have big experience in it... Yet.
Enjoy!
-
So...
Currently, I have to share the following:
596 m/s
The craft can do better for sure, just need to aim correctly.
(And yes, this is my aircraft from the "Threading the Needle, twice." challenge. It seems, it has more potential than I thought...

You are all going to be competing with this monstrosity @Meta Jonez @BeakyBuzz.
I'm getting closer.
I call it "Hype", and it's going to break 700 m/s under the bridge.
So It's not yet done?
-
Nice job there!
I'll try to beat the record forst, than maybe build a "Stallion" and try it with that.
-
Thanks!
As I saw the other videos, the struts were sometimes not there. After Patch one, it seems, some fixing was done.
Doesn't matter, it was fun.
-
So, after many struggles, I finally made it.
It's not the fastest, and also on the end I forgot to cut the engine, so after releaseing the brakes, the plane moved a bit (Just Kerbal things...)
For the first stop, my time was 1:43. Enjoy!

Hey!
Is that normal, that with the following build and game settings, I only get ~30-40 FPS? Also, the GPU is constatnly above 70°C
Gigybyte Aorus Elite v2 - Ryzen 5600 - RTX 3070 Ti - 16 Gb Ram (3200 Mhz) - M.2 1Tb SSD
So, is it just mine, or is this normal?
-
I didn't done it yet, but the Weekly Challenge #3 is the goal (Val).
-
Hey! I know I'm late, but here is me, achieving the primary goal:
It's one of my first videos, I've made.
It ain't much, but it's honest work.

I'm excited for the career mode - including colonies, sustainability and science.

Hey!
Recollection of science points/samples - is it possible?
in KSP2 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials

Hello!
I have a satellite/probe in orbit around Jool, it has some samples, but I'll be not able to collect it, since it has no docking ports. What I see as an option, I will deytroy the crafft and collect samples/science again, with proper docking ports or Kerbals.
So my main questions is: can science points/samples re-collected if a e.g. a probe is destroyed carrying samples on it?
