I appreciate the transparency. I think that as long as you continue to caveat that not all announcements are final, it should be fine. I am hopeful that as we have this update, and then the science update, we'll slowly start seeing the playerbase grow again. : )

I tried very hard to make a realistic steam locomotive (a D&RGW K-37) and found it quite difficult, to say the least - especially since the save file was deleted. I also am not sure of any way to make good look train tracks as of yet (that are actually usable)

Everyone has been saying there are no cities on Kerbin, but that is not entirely true. Was landing an orbital craft and there was a very obvious city texture in a mountain valley I found, so there's at least some civilization on Kerbin.

The animal theory seems to hold the most weight, of course. One has to ask though what gives them their green pigmentation. We might further ask if Kerbals are even carbon based life-forms. Biology is something that others will find more interest in with the kerbals, I personally am interested in them from an anthropological perspective. What is their history, their culture? It seems that all that we know is that they are advanced enough in technology to support a robust space program, and that they have been interested in spaceflight and astronomy for some time, as is our species, but they seem to perhaps be even more engaged in it.
