  1. Finally made it to Eve, with the help of the AdamKSP angle measurer thingy.

Something happened along the way though - my game crashed, and when I reloaded, all of Eve's liquid mercury, or whatever it is, had disappeared. I basically splashed down into an invisible ocean. Still, I made it!

  2. Sorry, don't want to resurrect this thread for nothing, but I haven't given up on this mod just yet. I have had to take a hiatus due to actual paying creative work that I am doing. Hopefully soon enough I can get back on this and start doing some .17 compatible stuff. I still haven't learned the new way to import models into Unity.

Thank you to everyone who is interested in this mod, you guys keep me going.

  3. Yup, my suggestions were because I don't want to use MechJeb. I almost consider it a form of "cheating." :P

Anyway, am I being stupid? I copied all the files from the zip into my ksp_win folder, and when I put the chip on my ship and launch it, all I get is a little grey rectangle in the center of my screen. I assume that would be the interface I'm looking for, but it's nothing but a tiny rectangle. Any ideas...?

  4. I don't know much about the video card you chose (I'm an AMD guy myself) but your computer should be able to handle it just fine. I'm running an AMD Phenom II X6 and 8gb of ram with almost no slowdowns while recording.

I would suggest getting more HD space if you're planning on doing a lot of movies. Also an aftermarket CPU cooler wouldn't be a bad idea.

  5. You shouldn\'t be going more than 10-15 m/s if you\'re trying to land.

Ah, hold on, I think I see what you\'re saying now. I would say try to use as little throttle as possible, slow yourself down early so you don\'t have to do a full-throttle burn to slow yourself down closer to the Mun. I usually burn down to 200-300 m/s when I get captured by the Mun, then go to about 100k and then go for a slow burn to get down to 50 m/s or so by the time I\'m at 10k. Then I keep the throttle very low to keep my speed down around 20-50 m/s until I\'m about 1k up, then I reduce to about 10-20 until I see my shadow. I guess the main point is that smaller burns consume less fuel.

I\'m sure someone else will be able to give you a much better detailed walkthrough on this though. I think I\'ve managed to successfully have a total of 1 return trip ;P
