  1. Yes, this is a base. No, don't start, it is. So, I try to get everything done in one go because refueling stations and stuff are too coimplicated and fiddly for me. My basic duna design was: Lander Fuel tank + nuclear engine Decoupler 4 Fuel tanks + Mainsail, 3 fuel tanks + mainsail on 2 sides. (with decoupler of course) But since this bigger land- er.. BASE weighs around 60 tons, doing that and just attaching one fuel tank with a nuclear engine won't work, right? So, what engines on what stage to use? My initial plan was to create an orbit and land with the 3 engines attached to the bottom of this, but I dont think 3 poodles are going to be enough... or? So please help me on the staging Thanks in advance!
  2. Sent a communication satellite into Kerbin's orbit, sent 2 unmanned rovers to the moon and Duna, and developed a manned rover for the moon (I dont know why I want to have 2 rovers on the moon but my first unmanned design sucked and I dont want to just end it, so 2 kerbals are going to stay on the moon, in a rover, forever)
  3. May I present to you, the Kerbal Explorer, the pinnacle of manned transport aircraft! What it features: All-round parachutes that will drop this machine at a soft rate of 8.5 m/s, which guarantees you that all your Kerbals will survive an unpredicted spin (which is rare) or any other deadly circumstances. Decoupleable external fuel tanks for an even bigger range! 3 powerful engines that can bring you almost anywhere. Top speeds of 270 m/s without external fuel tanks. A comfortable 3 man cockpit with coffee holder and an avionics package for comfortable auto-piloting Also, it handles really well and is extremely responsible for it's size. But don't push the S key TOO hard if you don't have SAS enabled, as that might cause random deadly spins. But that's why it has those parachutes! It is guarenteed that you will reach the north pole with this. Though I don't know if you can return, as my landing skills aren't the best... but hey, the only thing that matters is that it can BRING you there! Be careful on taking off aswell as the tail engine might crash into the ground if you press S too hard. Get it here: http://www./download/4ty7biv7l3gloo5/Kerbal_Explorer.craft
  4. Priorities in order: Rescue my stranded 3 crew from the mun Fly to Kerbin's north pole using a semi-spaceship thing, plant a flag and return safely Build a proper space station with refueling parts Send rovers to duna
  5. Well I'm really really bad at rendezvous and refueling stations have to be regularly refueled and all that... One day I'm going to build one, until then I'll call every stranded lander a base
  6. So, I've been around before.19, where fuel tanks were completely different. Now, since .19 fuel tanks have quite the limited capactity. So most people build fancy stations and orbital refueling stations, but can't you just build one big rocket to go to any planet? Or are these refueling stations more or less a must? I already landed on the moon 2 times today (one a crash landing) with a rocket of quite the decent size but I ran out of fuel just as my landing gears touched the cheesy surface of the moon. So yeah I'm quite the fashioned guy and haven't used these maneuver arrow things either yet. Now, who's doing things like me? Build one big rocket and take off, land, take off and parachute back on Kerbin.
