  1. What about the orientation? The "front" ends up being through the roof of the part. Reason I ask is because when I attach this to Hooligans airship mod the pitch controls don't work with the navball being off.
  2. Apparently it still loads all the assets otherwise this wouldn't be an issue. It is an amusing bug though. Generally most libraries don't really care what type of file you're loading from disk. They all end up in much the same format on the GPU. To prevent having to load all the images into memory it could have precomputed thumbnails for each model and assemble them into a texture atlas. Chop that up as necessary for lower end GPUs. Then only load full images when required in game.
  3. The freelancer pod is pointing in the wrong direction and the connection point is far behind the pod. Have this problem is 0.20 and 0.20.1. Any tweaks I can make?
  4. That's the same problem I had. What I discovered was the cockpit I was using pointed forward but the nav ball pointed down. I see in your case the nav ball is pointing up. Try aligning the cockpit to see if you get better results. Once I figured that I also had the problem of too much torque with too little control over the pitch amount. Jumping by a percent was enough to swing it madly in the opposite direction. In the end I used smaller envelopes and placed them closer to the centre of mass.
  5. Odd, is pitch control working? It seems to affect the overall buoyancy rather than each envelope. Edit: nevermind.. the cockpit I was using faced down rather than forward.
  6. For linux or cygwin users find . -name 'part.cfg' | xargs sed -i -e '1iPART' -e '1i{' -e '$a}'
  7. I use the tiny capsule, couple of the doughnut shaped fuel tanks and the radial rockets to create tiny crew return vessels. With the new mini lander can a little more weight can be shaved off too. Can probably get away with an RCS tank and thrusters. For real fun I've got a 10 ton SSTO capsule that is just a little too wide to fit in the B9 cargo bay. I have high hopes for the 2.6 engines and radial air intakes to shave off a bit of width. The capsule is capable of ground->orbit->ground flight.
  8. Love flying that river. Went there in my Bushfire plane (named because at speed she's enveloped in flames, but fully fuelled she takes off at less than 30m/s like a bush plane). Was great fun flying between all the relics on Kerbal.
  9. How about a little jumping from an airship during an eclipse
  10. On linux I had to move some files across to PluginData/kerbalalarmclock/ to work. Case sensitive filesystem.
  11. Hmm I wonder if that is related to an issue I have. With the dll installed at times launching a vehicle (from SPH or VAB) causes the lighting to flicker within a radius around the ship. It looked like it was getting pretty close to its memory limit also, so I tried launching the 64 bit version but that crashed. Can launch the 64 bit version without the dll fine.
  12. What I do is find a roughly equivalent size and weight structure as the engine and use that in place while I balance. Some of the RCS tanks are close enough to match the engines. Once I'm done I simply swap out the part and I'm good to go. That is until I realise I forgot to account for fuel redistribution as I burn It would be awesome if the VTOL engines thrust was also linked into ASAS similar to RCS controls. There is the VTOL Auto Engine Output controller mod but it goes nuts with tilting thrust.
  13. My adventures in less practical but more beautiful looking ships.
  14. Loving this mod. Some random creations so far: Just waiting on the SABRE engines so I can hopefully get a reusable SSTO to orbit and back.
