That's the moderation queue for new members. Your first 5 posts must be manually checked and approved by a moderator to combat spam. However, I was under the impression that they shut down that system temporarily due to a bug appearing with it. It might have been turned back on again if you are seeing it now.
Right click one of the scanners and on the dropdown menu select "show map" Of course all you'll see at first is a dot, you have to turn the scanner on from the right click menu or the action groups functionality and let the satellite scan for a while.
Yes. The default WASD keys also control your pod's reaction wheel. I just recently lost a mun rover to this problem- the 0.7 ton rover was so light that it began to tumble end over end on the slightest application of pod torque, and smashed both RTGs depriving it of power.
Leafa-1 moments after landing, performing a system check of the scientific insturments on board. Her mission is to locate a mun arch. Alas, it ended in failure. Upon attempting to drive, the pod torque caused it to flip over and destroyed both RTGs, depriving it of electrical power.
What you're seeing is the effects of your pod's torque. Change your control mappings so that your driving controls are not the same as your maneuvering controls, that way using the rover wheels doesn't cause the whole craft to flip over. I recently wrecked one of my rovers the same way.
The launch pad was redesigned in 0.19 to be without a launch tower, as it had become the source of complaints with rockets striking it and exploding. Plus the new pad is now wider, giving more support to large craft.
A hammer appears out of nowhere in Odin's hand, glowing with blinding brilliance. It erupts into lightning bolts that send all of the craft reeling out of control, and the soldiers ducking for cover. You and what army.
The upper level staff has been very busy trying to coordinate the repair effort and dealing with the fallout of it. I think we can be okay with missing one weekly event to give them a much needed break or let them concentrate on more important issues- like the abundance of bugs in the forum. They'll get back to holding events soon enough.
Probably not. It was difficult enough to restore the developer's blogs where possible, and the damaged backups meant that much of the data was just plain unrecoverable. Don't worry, if you earned a good rep before you can definitely accomplish it again. It happens. You'll make better ones. Signatures and avatars were reverted to as they were in October 2012. Many people observed that their old sigs and avatars came back, as that information was preserved in the old backup. It's likely that the problems with password resets and email activations have to do with the surge of registrations. The emails become backlogged in the server when there is a spike in new registrations because other email servers start rejecting them as possible spam. It takes a few hours for the other servers to realize that they're legitimate and start accepting them again.
It seems that the glitch is inconsistent. I'm seeing posts now from people with less than 5 posts, while other people who have way more than that are still appearing in the queue. The issue is being worked on, we'll probably notice fairly quickly when it is resolved.
Best to avoid necroposting if you can. Although it probably won't earn as strict of a punishment for a few days because of the abundance of old threads, people obviously doing it on purpose will be reprimanded accordingly. I've been going around closing threads that get bumped by mistake to ensure that they aren't disturbed again, except where the subject could be discussed more.
Notified the relevant admins so it gets checked out. Feel free to continue posting normally. It might sort itself out, and in the meantime we'll do our jobs and approve the posts we find.
