Yes. Buy a solar panel. In the end, the cost is the same (electricity/year vs solar panel/price). They won't live for ever. In the winter/cloudy days, they are useless. A storage device (battery) may help.

RogueMason, it is nobody because you are alone ? You can make a addon request. A kerbal sits at the table or at a window, if you are two in the pod. One is controling the pod and one is on the other room. If it is only one, the next room will be empty. What version you are using, 1.0.5 ?
