Tips for getting to Moho

Use Eve to help ;-) -
Using gravity of Eve to get to Moho easier.

The next trick is to copy the MESSENGER probe and use repeated flybys of Moho to reduce your solar apoapsis gradually to reduce your needed dV to brake at Moho. -
This is a good idea but if you take time doing the docking orbital mechanics will mess you up. You'll end up having to reorientate a few times as you get closer.

This is how you do radial decouplers when you dont have any :)

Just because it lets you do something with part-clipping turned off, you could still make a logical decision that it doesn't seem "right" that you should be able to do it -
Transmitting science from place to place.

Maybe it should be related to transmission power/type of antenna. Rovers and landers wouldn't have quite as high-gain a transmitter setup, but satellites can. That way you get the situation like we have around Mars at the moment with MRO and Odyssey relating data from Curiosity and the MER rovers at a higher data rate. -
Can get to Duna, but not back to Kerbin.

Can get to Duna, but not back to Kerbin.

Oh god this stickying so badly. -
Indeed. So we're going to have to either: 1) Use more fuel for retrograde burning, 2) make a number of passes to slowly reduce apoapsis (takes aaaages), or 3) Some combination of the two.

If you don't mind using mods, MechJeb's landing module is essential for aerocapture/braking as it gives you a predicted AP depending on where you put your PE in the planet's atmosphere. You may need more than one orbit for greater precision. Also, if we eventually get G-loading/heat sensors for crew survivability, it may be better to do it over a series of orbits instead of one big aerocapture really low down in the atmosphere to get it done in one orbit.

Aerocapturing at Duna is a must to safe fuel. -

Did you aerobrake at Duna to save fuel? -
... Transfer to a Polar Orbit.

If you wanted to make a solar polar orbit, you could do a Ulysees and have Jool gravity assist you into a higher plane. That is a lot of fun
