I guess you never heard about Project Horizon then. Military base on Moon? Checked. Tactical nukes on Moon? Checked. Claymore mines to puncture the spacesuit of attacking Soviet (?) troops? Checked. Really, USA have the weirdest/worst ideas ever from time to time.

Well, at least we can hope that after seeing how important this is to the players, Squad will put more effort into the resources, however they are going to be implemented in the end.

I would like to say that it's good to hear official statement - finally. I also think that by improving communication with the community Squad can only gain more support from us. Most of the emotions were borned because we were misinformed and without any official information we had to speculate and guess. So to take something positive from all this mess I suggest even bigger transparency to clear the air and kill all the speculations once and for all

We would like some clarification too HarvesteR said more or less that resources are cancelled because they were too complicated and not fun enough and that maybe they will show up in a much simpler form later (like using materials from surface to repair ships or something like this), but no processing or mining. Plus imagine where kethane would be now if the kethane team knew there won't be any official resource system in the near future (1 year?).

Considering that according to this: resources in one form or another are kinda needed to make LV-N not use liquid fuel and oxidizer, I hope they will show up in the game in the end.

About this whole grinding thing - apart from Science system being grindy there are quite a lot popular games pracitcally based on grinding. Farmville and World of Warcraft come to mind. With proper implementation it shouldn't be a problem IMHO.

Changing plans is not a problem. Saying nothing about this for moths after teasing the community with screenshots and plans and basically saying "it will be ready in a few updates from now" is a problem IMHO.

And this is what we're all expecting, a clear message to the community Maxmaps, could we expect more details about this in a form of dev article/post? It would explain everything once and for all and end all the speculation, which is IMHO a good idea right now.
