  1. Is there a way to set the RSS to a specific planetary constellation? I need the planetary constellation of the 15th of October 1997 for my Cassini-Huygens mission.

  3. Having the same problem here... Kerbin is the second farthest from the sun. I just did a fresh install. Weird.
  4. I love this shuttle so much. I have one question though: Is there something like the RMS for the real shuttle? This would help a lot.
  5. Can I somehow turn off the evaporation for LiquidH2/LiquidOxygen? I just found a configuration for my Venera 9 mission and don't want to reconfigurate my whole rocket because of the evaporation.
  6. Hey Metaphor! Thanks for the help! I did it and landed my little rover curiosity-style. However, I had to raise the atmospheric pressure to 0.02 bars and had to raise the chute opening altitude to 9000m I think. Nevertheless I am happy now! This was so far the hardest thing I did in KSP. The key in the end was to find a position of the descent stage, in which it wouldn't raise vertical velocity. I even found a position in which it ascendet a bit and was able to burn off enough velocity to open the parachute without snapping everything in half. Next time I will try it with those 0.012bars of atmospheric pressure. I know I cheated somehow by raising the pressure but here I am...
  7. Didn't MSL open it's parachutes an roughly 450m/s after entering Mars' atmosphere? I changed the pressure parameter and I see a glimpse of hope on the horizon. The chute opened, but I was way too fast. I try to work on my maneuver a little bit more. Thank you very much!
  8. Any ideas how to Aerobrake/Capture at Mars? I'm coming in at roughly 5,8km/s at Periaps. I tried different profiles. I tried direct descents and "bouncy-descents" but my Rover crashes everytime. I just don't seem to get the right altitude. I might try a powered descent next time. Mods: Ferram, Deadly reentry + other less important ones (and real solar system of course).
  9. I'm trying to do a Curiosity style landing. So: Reentry --> parachutes --> powered descent. While opening the chutes Curiosity was down to ~450m/s so I thought something similar would be possible. I thought about trying SZDarkhack's method of "bouncing" and slowing down. But that did not feel right.
  10. I have a question concerning reentering with the Real Solar System Mod. I tried reentering Mars athmosphere with about 5km/s and I tried altitudes from 10km-20km.... none of them are working. I either crash into the ground or exit athmosphere and reenter a second time with the result of crashing into the ground. ... Any ideas?

    Let's push KSP!

    The developers already mentioned somewhere that they don't want the game on greenlight right now. Later maybe, but not in the alpha stage of development.

  13. Yeah I think too! It was clearly shown by the way the blood was sputtering out of that beheaded hen I just sacrificed for the glory of the mighty Space Kraken. I thought it was a generally accepted MO to not talk about our release date predictions!
  14. Are there any news of harvester? He hasn't updated the "KSP 0.17" Thread for quite a time now. He propably hasn't got the time though. Looking foward for meeting you all on or around jool!
  15. An that, ladies and gentlemen, is how you keep your userbase happy. An issue comes up and promptly it is worked and thought on by the developers of the game. My love for you guys is great, not only because you work on such an amazing game, but also because of how you cooperate with the players of your fine product. If there was a donation button I would donate the **** out of you. So anyhow...keep up the good work and attached to your consumer basis!
  16. There should be an option to block out the debris or planets, which are uninteresting for the current mission, from the map view. It will be too cluttered otherwise.
