  2. Success .... I have repeated my previous success by passing under the Munnar Arch, moving from south to north using a BigTrak piloted by a MechJeb capsule. .... The speed was below 1m/sec. And I have no photos. Previously, I lost 3 flying MechJeb probes as they attempted to fly thru the Arch at approx 50m/sec. All exploded as they crossed the threshold. I have no idea why any of this might be significant.
  3. A very useful utility, can I suggest adding a field to indicate the name of the folder for each part? ... Sometimes we just want to clean up the clutter and remove a part which is never used, but have to drill down to the part.cfg file before finding which folder to eliminate.
  4. Please Please Please .... Even if we only get a display of the numbers, personally, I\'ve always flown the rendezvous flights by hand, but needed the display of 'closing rates' (et. al.) to make efficient use of available delta-v.
  5. Seriously, I have no idea what speed I was going. Today I sent two more mechjeb automated BigTrak carts thru the arch.... one at midnight, and one at noon..... both blew up.
  6. BitTrak works pretty well in most respects with 0.16. I combined it with a MechJeb capsule and had no difficulties delivering it to the Mun and driving to the Munnar Arch. .... you can even add the ladders from version 0.16 .... But ... (and this is a big big But) .... when Bill went EVA and mounted the BigTrak parked outside his ship, he had no difficulty getting up onto the Trak and grabbing onto the hand hold. .... When the control was switched back to the BigTrak from Bill, Bill exploded. Important safety tip, when Kerbals try to hitch a ride on a BigTrak, they explode. (This is probably a bug)
  7. Update: Took another Bigtrak thru the Arch. Approaching from the west, I drove under the Arch from the south. The vehicle survived the transit. Then looped around the eastern leg of the Arch and tried again. Boom. (note to dev team; explosions in vacuum should be silent) The Sun was very high in the sky and there was only a small shadow, but I\'m certain the cart was in shadow when it exploded, but cannot remember if it was during the successful transit.
  8. Passing under the arch in version 0.16 seems to be fatal.... Bill went EVA and never came back. A well armed Big Track Lander also failed survive the ordeal.
  9. Ok ... been lurking here as a guest for quite awhile .... time to take the plunge. ... Gotta agree with Aegrim. I did all the usual stuff with the Demo Version ... by hand. (you know, Launch, Orbit, Mun, Mun Landing, Safe Return, Safe Return to Space Port & Rendezvous) I only broke down and bought the updated version after I found MechJeb. Because all that stuff is .... Tedious .... (imagine that said with an exasperated sigh). MechJeb lets us do way cool stuff with all the other features because is saves hours and hours of gameplay time which would otherwise be spent doing stuff we already know how to do anyway. I\'d make the suggestion that some form of MechJeb be incorporated into the basic release.... (but, of course, I\'m too new here to make suggestions) .... perhaps MechJeb\'s features could be unlocked as the newbees mastered each new skill.
