  1. Ive got only two, but they\'re really good! Here they are!
  2. Okay guys its Divaglio here, and I\'ve decided to start this topic as a forefather to the distant campaign mode. This isn\'t a forum campaign, its a community list. So this is the plan; there will be three categories: General, Rocket, and Spaceplane. In each of these categories, objectives will be listed as the community comes up with them. I will update this list with your suggestion as time goes on, so lets see how diverse we can make this! OBJECTIVES GENERAL TBA! ROCKET [li]Get out of the atmosphere; above 70 km[/li] [li]Put your craft into an orbit of 105 km[/li] [li]Put a satellite into Keostationary Orbit (2868.4 km)[/li] [li]Land anywhere on the Mun[/li] [li]Land anywhere on Minmus[/li] SPACEPLANE [li]Get out of the atmosphere; above 70 km[/li] [li]Put your craft into an orbit of 105 km[/li] [li]Put a satellite into Keostationary Orbit (2868.4 km)[/li] [li]Land anywhere on the Mun[/li] [li]Land anywhere on Minmus[/li]
  3. I think itd make the game easier if someone coded a few objectives to complete, such as \'Put a satellite in geostationary orbit (2868.3-2868.5 km circular orbit)\'
  4. I suggest that instead of fully navigable systems that count in the hundreds of thousands, that perhaps we have a couple of dozen or so navigable systems, and have placeholder stars to make it seem more immense. That way, we still get the awe-inspiring massiveness, but at less of a cost to our processors
  5. Good read, but please use proper grammar. By that, if it just means using proper caps, that\'d make it look of much higher quality. Also, you might want to put this into paragraphs. A solid wall of text isn\'t appealing to spend time on
  6. 'Hi, my name is Kurt, and welcome to the Kerbal Space Program!' \'Nuff said.
  7. Hey guys, its me again, and this time I have a request. But first, let me tell you something about myself. I am an excellent rocket builder, and my first attempts end up completing mission goals easily and with plenty of margin for error. I can also fly rockets very well, and have completed a rendezvous nose-to-nose without the <100km targeting reticule (turned it off in the settings ;P). I have a very keen sense for thrust to weight ratios, and can easily point out a ship\'s center of gravity. And then there\'s space planes. I absolutely SUCK at everything to do with the vehicles. I can\'t build one worth a crap, they usually end up not taking off, and I cant fly them worth a crap as well. So my plea to the community is for a space plane .craft file or tips on how to make such a plane that follows these prerequisites: [list type=decimal] [li]Must take off easily[/li] [li]Must maneuver extremely well and smoothly[/li] [li]Must land easily, and...[/li] [li]Must be an overall easy plane to fly[/li] I aspire to be as good with space planes as I am with rockets, but it wont help me much if I cant fly them ;P. Thanks again community!
  8. Okay, thanks so much. Planning on building an orbital spaceship carrier that allows for ships to fly into its hanger, and use a Damned Robotics hinge to close hanger doors. But I guess if they\'re put on rails, Id have to be sure to completely remove relative velocity
  9. Oh, so if one ship is nestled inside another in orbit, and I go to +2x warp, the ships will phase through each other if all relative movement isn\'t cancelled out?
  10. I know that if you try to \'dock\' two ships together with lander legs or other parts and try to go to warp, the two ships will \'clip\' into or away from each other. So my first question is: Can someone put a name to this problem? I feel kinda stupid forgetting it, but I might as well find out. And second of all, what is the greatest distance that two ships can clip relative to each other? I think I heard it was somewhere around five meters
  11. Or it could be the fact that you have not actually cancelled out rotation, but rather reduced it to a minimal level, unnoticeable over a short amount of time, but obvious as you continue to observe the object
  12. If I were to use a MechJeb module for the raw data that it contains and not for the orbital maneuvers, could I still claim [sTOCK]? And also, Im a bit confused as to what you mean by LOWERING the periapsis to whatever value it is. If you\'ve just landed, your periapsis will be zero, so how can you LOWER it to \'X\'?
  13. I recently attempted a rendezvous mission, and while I was getting into orbit. I was definitely closer than 100km to my target, but the grey/pink target reticule didn\'t appear. I actually did complete the rendezvous without it (pro-mode activate =P), but it is a rather dangerous bug and decided to put it up for your assistance. Any thoughts?
  14. Okay guys, I edited the post because a detail slipped my mind. But I will post the ship as an attachment so you can have some fun with it too. KEEP IN MIND. It is truly RCS, and RCS boosters aren\'t powerful at all, so they can\'t lift a lot of weight on Kerbin. Less weight capacity means less RCS fuel, so you wont have much fuel to work with. This was really meant as something for possibly the Mun or Minmus, as the gravity there is much weaker and there is no drag. The \'K\' key is to ascend (turn the RCS and the SAS on), while H is to accelerate and N is to decelerate. Normal pitch and yaw controls work as well. Enjoy =P
  15. Cause I have!!! Proof? Look in the attachments :D EDIT: The cart from the Cart mod is actually what this is mounted on. Sorry for the trouble, but it slipped my mind as it doesnt affect the function of the buggy
  16. What Im trying to do is to put thirty six pylons with colored (red probably) strobe lights mounted on top in a circle with a radius of six meters (Geometry and MechJeb have already helped me to do the math). The only problem is I am not aware of any mobs that include lights like this. If someone would please be so kind as to point me in the right direction, Id be very grateful =P
  17. Hey, I\'m interested in making a space station in orbit of Kerbin, and my thoughts were to make it modular, so I would need to send up an original piece, then send up sections which could dock via lander legs to the previous section. The only problem is, I don\'t know how to rendezvous. I know you need to go higher than the target to get it to catch up with you, and vice-versa, and I also know you need to match the targets inclination, but other than that, I\'m clueless. Can someone give me a step-by-step guide as to how to do this?
  18. Lol, no, Im not putting my base in Silisko crater. Mine is in what I\'m deeming the Apollo crater, as you are always seeing Kerbinrise. Its coordinates are 0, -53 roughly. Im just using this for ideas
  19. What kind of structures could you put on a greenhouse? Just a bunch of modules together and imagine?
  20. The exact geostationary orbit around Minmus is 4303 1/2 kilometers. Much larger than its SoI
