A couple tried before the forum-pocalypse but none succeeded, it is a lot of work for little enough reward. -
looks good, but it didn't launch on a Delta IV Heavy. That one launched on a titan if memory serves.

Good advice Nhnifong however I am going to contradict you on one point. 64%, and nothing else. This keeps it to scale with real life. I don't care how far off of KSP stock parts it is because historical models aren't meant to be used with stock launchers. Make you model accurate. Don't sacrifice this on the 1,2,3m altar please. -
TDRSS Does indeed look gorgeous. I might use that instead. As for NRO stuff I was hoping to be able to do something more recent but unless they respond to a freedom of information act letter It looks like I have nothing.

My Pleasure, anyways they don't look to be too much extra work. I also want to do an NRO satellite for a payload. No sure if anyone knows what one looks like though. ULA wasn't allowed to show fairing sep due to the NRO requesting that all cameras be deactivated prior to this point in the launch sequence. Thanks. Bobcat put a lot of work into making them, and I put relatively small amounts of work into making the Mk4 and Home 2m compatible with .18 and .19 (and will for .20) we appreciate it when people appreciate it.

Thanks, for right now I only plan on doing the 5m heavy variant. It isn't bobcat doing the Delta, it's me. Bobcat is working on the Aries V right now. I am doing the Delta IV Heavy to replicate the EF-1 Flight slated for 20-whatever that is the first orbital test of the Orion capsule.

Give us a minute, the RAT has taken a back seat for a second due to the Delta IV that I am working on and Bobcat is doing the American Pack as well as HOME II stuff. There have been plans to update to stock rover systems but in the meantime CleaverWalrus has released a hotfix for CBC.dll try that and see if that helps you.

If you actually want to carry any mass on Duna I recommend you stick with the 1m variant Duna has an almost nonexistent atmosphere. -

not exactly, the collision mesh doesn't scale with the model for some reason. The collision mesh was already in the wrong spot in unity so I am doing a remodel with a better poly count, normal maps, emmissive maps, gimbling animations and hopefully a texture that wraps without having a super obvious transition. Shouldn't take too much longer now that I have an idea what I am doing and have all the resources in place. -

Suprise Part II Texturing isn't as bad as I though. Once I clean up some horrible pixels figure out what the fudge a normal map is, do emissives, and do the gimble animation, and BUG SHOOT BUG SHOOT BUG SHOOT it might work. Here is a video of why bug shooting is going to be very necessary. -

SUPRISE! I have been working on learning blender/unity for a while now and recently started on my first project I plan on releasing. For those of you who hope to recreate the first Orion test mission launching on a Delta IV Heavy now you can. Currently the Common Core booster, 5m Interstage, Aerodynamic Nosecone, and Cryogenic Second Stage (which was combined with the the payload base. Have been completed. Unity has been cooperating so now all I need to do is figure out textures. . . . -
Right I will see about fixing that. . . . Watch this thread for an update when it's fixed

How do you open up the .mbm files? I wasn't aware that they were usable outside of KSP. I already have the UV unwrap as a file, I just am having difficulty making textures that don't look like complete and utter crap. -
I have been working on a Delta IV project just for kicks and was looking at doing textures in a "stock" fashion. I have absolutely 0 experience with texturing or texturing programs (don't even know what would be good to use) all I know is that Blender is almost useless for effective texturing, or that I am doing it all wrong. Any suggestions that could be given on how to texture a part once you get it into a good UV map would be greatly appreciated. ~Subnote, if someone wants to work with me on texturing this thing shoot me a PM. EDIT: In case you are interested It isn't optimized yet, the colliders are still missing as are the payload fairings. I also hope to do a custom radial decoupler and launch clamp.

# 1 by far, I have sunk months of my life into this game. I learned Blender for this game. I worked on Unity for this game, now I am learning Gimp and some scripting for this game. I played this game before I knew what steam even was. This game is my most played game.
