  3. Lol no I think Moderator Vexx will be next...
  4. Mainly the spin of of Look SpaceX Failed that is why ULA is better and why the US shouldn't launch things on SpaceX Rockets
  5. Oh how beautiful. Now we have to make sure that the media doesn't spin this the wrong way...
  6. Welcome to the forums SpaceKitten!
  7. I am just happy that they are releasing the images now
  8. Moved for you, Please try to be sure your post is in the correct Subforum
  9. Actually Angel, Parachutes would work, You would need a series of them though, a supersonic one and then a subsonic one, but the simpler thing to do it to land propulsively
  10. No, hey RedIronCrown come back here...
  11. sampa actually it would be easier for them to land on land and the first stage has a self destruct mechanism so it would be relatively safe, plus there are already exclusions zones set up for the launch so no one should be in danger at all. Also landing on a floating platform is hard, landing on the unmoving land is easy
  12. Zodiak IIRC the brits have essentially copied the US system but it is harder to get motors and launch them over there.
  13. Giga ISP is a exponential curve, but for the MOST part just use sealevel if it ignites while in air and vacuum if it ignites in space.. your numbers will be off but not by too much
  14. Hrm i did not know that Kryten... I forgot that there are two designs of making motors.. I think my comment is still valid for segmented motors though
  15. Zodak... NAR is the National Association of Rocketry, Tripoli is another Rocket Association, they are the regulatory bodies (in the US) As it stand in the US the general public can buy motors up to G class motors, to launch H or higher you have to be certified (ie you have to prove that your rockets wont be a danger and stay intact) Level one Cert allows you to launch up to I, then you have to get Level two, which involves bigger motors and a written test covering rules and regulations, that qualifies you to launch up to L motors, then you go for Level 3 which technically allows you to launch any size motor you can afford... I dont know the rules in britain but http://www.ukra.org.uk/ is your organization
  16. Ah but SRBs get unstable when they hit a certain size... too many small imperfections add up. There is a reason why there is no SRB larger than about 4 m in dia
  17. hehe i am working on my Level two right now... it is a Binder Design 4in Excel DD
  18. TythosEternal are you a member of NAR or Tripoli and are you HPR Certified?
  19. Tythos I certified lvl 1 on the Callisto... Great rocket
  20. Is there an addon on or is ti planned to have the new Mk 3 shape as a PPart?
  21. One-Way-Gaming. If you have the right sized tubes you can make rockets out of them... or you could just buy kits from Estes
  22. Oh on a side note... the Falcon is actually on the smaller end of rockets... and SSTOs dont work because their payload fraction would be TINY
  23. Thread locked as OP has not responded since late July. OP if you would like it to be reopened please PM me or one of the other mods.
  24. Hey Mach, Would it be possible for the Struts to take on predefined angles if attached to the sides of boosters to the main core?
  25. The first Stage burns out while moving at almost 2 km/s which is quite fast, the main thing is that the first stage pushed the 2nd high enough that its main job was to circularize
