  1. My off day is Tuesday..so I won't have to! I will download it and play into the wee hours of the morning (mods being updated notwithstanding)!
  2. I bought this game to make craft, engineer, and complete missions. There is the irreplaceable perk of the view from orbit though
  3. Yes it is. It was just revealed about 15 minutes ago on Squadcast!
  4. Who else is going to have an all-female space program? Discuss!
  5. At my height I played 12 hours a day..now I haven't played in months unfortunately.
  6. I think the biggest thing I want is a sense of logic and predictability. If if LOOKS like it should fly, then it should. If it looks like a crazy contraption, it should kill its creator, like crazy contraptions do IRL
  7. I move between 5 and 6. PWings just updated, which means that I can finally get started with this new update! Reusable Kerbin system ferries aren't going to build themselves!
  8. IT took me 3 or 4 attempts. I watched Scott Manley before attempting though. Congrats! May your kerbals be safe and your rockets fly safely!
  9. The shuttles that I have built in game have been...sort of lackluster. I will do a quick economics breakdown for you. Eurobird (1.25m payload shuttle): Launch Cost: 54k + Payload Recovery cost at KSC: `27k Total Loss/Gain: ` -27k+ payload. Ursa Shuttle (2.5m payload shuttle): Launch Cost: 141k + payload. Recovery cost at KSC: `70k Total Loss/Gain: -70k + payload. As you can see, I lose about 50% of the whole launch system because of KSP limitations with recovering spent stages (as they fall out of physics distance and unload). My shuttles are quite lean as far as cost goes, but comparing my 1.5m boosters and 2.5m boosters (which cost 11k and 55k respectively), the shuttles start to lose benefit. The shuttles may cost more, but they allow me to bring kerbals along, as well as boost into multiple orbits. This adds flexibility ans the ability to have multiple missions per launch, reducing the cost of the shuttle systems. There are ways to make a shuttle work, but if you are simply launching light payloads into space, they are NOT the way to go. Hope this helps!
  10. Have these parts been rebalanced to in-game specifications? These are seriously the best mod parts in the game, but they lack balance outside of the Chaka Monkey ecosystem.
  11. My streams didn't work so I missed splashdown! But we made it, good job taxpayers!
  12. None! I am sitting this update out. 8 gigs of ram KSP 32bit Windows 64 Amd 3.5ghz quad core Gtx 660 Twin Frozr
  13. Bored? Go reusable. That will keep you busy for awhile...
  14. I am sure someone will correct me if I am wrong, but the surface of Kerbin is impossible to circumnavigate ENTIRELY by water. The surface actually connects. But for a more mathematical answer, refer to the post above mine.
  15. I think they are a waste of resources, however entertaining they may be. The last update produced and in-game video that was still entertaining, but probably didn't take nearly as long to make. I hope to see videos like the 0.25 launch video in the future!
  16. Building a reusable Kerbin-system infrastructure and my first interplanetary craft since version 0.20 are in my planes for 0.26

    Sad Times

Hey I thought I was the only player of my type until I look over on the KSP facebook. There are many like me, maybe you could find them there?
  18. Well I have a system that's designed on a Per-function basis: Stations/Bases: 150 parts max, including rovers and other accessories. Rockets/Lifters: 30 Parts or so. Payloads: 30 parts or so. This means satellites, etc. Rovers: 25 parts or so. Shuttles: Under 75 parts. These guidelines are put in place for the sake of both part count and structural stability. In KSP, less parts means less wobble, and higher framerates.
  19. I exclusively played sandbox until Career recently became to my liking in version 0.24. Because the next update will finish up career, I am switching back to sandbox for this update. Before 0.24, I was expressly anti-career.
  20. Increasing your wing surface will help you a lot. That small of a wing means very high landing speeds and more stress on the airframe upon landing. Also, keep your vertical speed to under 5 m/s upon landing if you like Jeb
  21. Back in 0.19, I completed my first interplanetary return mission for Kerbals. The mission was a failure, but returning from Duna and seeing Kerbin for the first time since was incredibly humbling. Here's the shot as I snapped it:
  22. I wasn't going to migrate the parts needed for my shuttle over into .25, but the new procedural wings will change that! As soon as B9 updates, Ursa and Eurobird will be making the switch
