  1. Hmm, I'd love to have my own private rocket launching facility at the bottom of a crater in a mountain range, feel like a real supervillain. Either that or in a submarine on eve.
  2. Might I ask how one would do such a switch Maltesh?
  3. Actually since .16 it IS safe to fly through them. From the 0.17.0 x2 changelog: And I did test this, it was one of the scariest thing I've tried to do in KSP. EDIT: By "safe" i mean safe if you dont collide with the rock or surface.
  4. theres a hint on the nav-ball... maybe look closely on the horizon from the runway...
  5. If you want to take a screenshot in game, as Vanamonde suggested, press F1 and the shot will be saved in the screenshots folder in your KSP folder. Happy Mun-ing!
  6. This is the Mun Arch! Its been around a while and is fully awesome. Did you know it may not be the only one? Also, welcome to the forums
  7. Cool, just landed right, no hope of return doesn't factor into this?
  8. I tried something like this a while back http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/showthread.php/14212-Stock-HelicopterMaybe you'll find something useful in there. An actual image, or link to an image, of what you have would be useful to help us help you, but really long wings seemed to work well back in 0.15
  9. So you can easily build a one man rocket that wont kill your computer, but want to get three men into space on one ship? Well it may not look pretty, or be easy to get ladders set up for, but you can use the 3 man Mk3 cockpit on top of your old rocket design. Triple the seating capacity with just a 0.2 increase in mass! This can work because the centre of mass for the cockpit lies between the two connect points
  10. There is an option in the debug/cheat menu for infinite eva fuel if that's what you want, but no way to power it up so you could take off from Kerbin with just a suit.
  11. Does anyone else think that the twin gas giant nova put in his "kerbals guide to the solar system" will become real in future versions? I know more planets are planned, and I think it'd look awesome, especially if they're different colours (Yes, I realise this is may not happen in real life, but its a game and it'd be pretty)
  12. Yes, if you burn your engines perpendicular to the direction you're going, while also pointing towards the horizon you can change your plane without altering pe/ap altitudes.
  13. Not sure if its an homage to Douglas Adams or a coincidence, but I do like the new engine being "mostly harmless".
  14. I only really use it for orbital rendezvous, as the data screens help make it possible to do, but never the autopilot.
  15. Why? You just have the other side coming round and melting as the other cools.
  16. So what do we know for certain about the voices, if anything, all I've seen from the dev's is HarversteR mentioning a settings for them in the x5 changelog.
  17. I want to stay as stock as possible, but i will strap a mechjeb part on for the extra data displays, and the new docking mod, but thats it.
  18. Now to achieve my ultimate kerbal goal of building a halo ring, although I may wait for bop, that'd be too many ships for any other body in the system
  19. If the dev team do go for a kraken memorial, which they dont have to, I think that it should just be a dark shadow moving below the surface of Jools water moon.
  20. I doubt they'd move fast enough for you to see them move, but I'm sure something will be added for you to see at range, sort of like minimus.
  21. Ooh, this just made me think, how long can you keep a spaceplane flying for in Jool, could be a neat challenge, assuming bugs like magical turbine and fuel consumption are fixed. The thick atmosphere would give lots of drag, but maybe also loads more lift, so this will be fun to find out (although not for the pilots obviously)
  22. Are you using an ASAS on the tank and avionics package on the shuttle? I've found problems when using both, I recommend you ditch the ASAS and take a bit of manual control on the ascent to compensate any floating.
  23. Kosmo-not, Maltesh, you have my thanks. As for your crew Tinfoilchef, they may just need to get out and push, repeatedly, with jetpacks. Good luck
  24. Precision orbital manoeuvres to align your ships for a rescue, I fear the Kraken will smite your noble rescue efforts. Let us have a minutes silence for the three lost kerbanauts. :'(
  25. Thanks to this video from Scott Manley, , I now know how to calculate the angle at which to perform a transfer burn for orbital rendezvous.I just want to know if there's a good, free way to tell if you're at that angle without having to hold a protractor to the screen. What do you guys use?
