  1. Fine. Russian fatal incidents;2 American fatal incidents;2 Of course one of the Russian ones was a test flight, while the American system was \'operational\'. If we expand the list beyond simply astronauts/cosmonauts, the Soyuz has killed one person (in a launch explosion) and the shuttle has killed...7 (3 in a gas leak, 4 fell from the launch complex).
  2. What are you intercepting? Planets?
  3. I feel your pain...I\'m from Bradford.
  4. That\'s nothing-the US built a Supersonic flying boat fighter.
  5. I\'m from, and in, the U.K. Yorkshire, currently, although originally from northern Ireland.
  6. They wouldn\'t have worked in the new version anyway.
  7. ...Have you looked at S.E. recently? That applies to something like half of the topics. EDIT: One of the other Mods actually moved this TO S.E.-so obviously this is where it belongs.
  8. You game has it\'s own screenshot function (F1), you don\'t have to use print screen.
  9. Skylab was less than seven metres wide, and KSP scale is somewhere between 1/3 and 1/4 real size-you wouldn\'t be launching something 16 or more metres wide in one launch.
  10. That\'s not really comparable-I\'d be surprised if you could find another indie game with more than a tenth of minecraft\'s player base.
  11. Does it work if you have fins on the bottom of your launch vehicle? Having it make the rocket tip over is actually quite realistic-it\'s why the X-37 needs to be launched in a fairing, and why, as in this picture, the rocket used for DYNA-SOAR would have had giant fins on it
  12. According to the BBC, the satellite ended up hitting someone\'s house;
  13. Is the heat shield supposed to be gone?
  14. It\'s on the first page of the C7 thread.
  15. A planet needs to have a liquid iron core to have a strong magnetic field-Mercury has a core larger than Earth\'s, but has almost no field; and it\'s perfectly possible for a large brown dwarf to emit light-through deuterium fusion (which a brown dwarf must large enough to do, by definition) and gravitational contraction.

    Paradox

    It\'s not, because here is obviously not included in \'anywhere else\'.
  17. That means \'you should try to deserve victory\', not \'you deserve victory\'. Sorry, it was bugging me.
  18. The problem is the aerodynamics of the rocket-add some fins to it, and it flies like a dream, and flies straight up with very little wobble if ASAS is used. It also doesn\'t help that those boosters don\'t have enough lift for a ship that size-it works better with the main engine on (at low power) while the boosters are.
