  1. Pictures would be pretty pointless-it\'s just a standard pod with some changed cfg values.
  2. Britain\'s mostly metric-the only real exceptions are miles and miles/hour, and beer and milk in pints.
  3. And one of them, Burma is planning to switch. That leaves The US and.. Liberia, a country very heavily influenced by the US, and founded by US citizens.
  4. Why are the ki, kp, and kd values for the advanced SAS so low? They don\'t seem to actually affect the craft at all, and, looking in the files, are around 1/50 of the default.
  5. Works fine for me as well-perhaps your download is corrupted?
  6. The Mk. 3 pod has its nodes in the wrong places, and the Mk. 1 has its node sizes reversed; Also, how do you use the fairing panels? EDIT:I see it now-literally couldn\'t be simpler :-[
  7. From that article: The phrase \'cognitive impairment\' is a link to the \'mental retardation\' article.
  8. I wasn\'t-here in Britain, it\'s the current official euphemism for \'retarded\'-looking it up, what you mean is what we would call leaning difficulties. I\'ve never seen it-it\'s probably not as common as you think.
  9. If you\'ve not encountered someone who is genuinely that stupid, you are a very lucky man.
  10. Your beloved aerospace sector works in metric, you idiot. Hard Drives are all made in metric units as well, the inches are approximate. What your country did 50 years ago is irrelevant-anything still made by standards that old is backward. Even your \'Middle Eastern...people murdering each other\' all use metric units, and the only African stand-out is Liberia, a de facto ex US colony. You realise Maddox is satire, right? He doesn\'t believe a single word he says. If you think social security is the opposite of socialism, then you clearly haven\'t the faintest idea what socialism is. And, of course, 1940\'s Russia, home of \'industry will solve everything\'-obviously anti technological.
  11. That\'s the in-game orbit viewer-press \'m\' to see it. If you you\'ve just upgraded to the recent version, I\'d recommend going through the (updated) tutorial; it gives a good rundown of the new features.
  12. A user of the metric system won\'t be able to tell you decameters and decimetres because they simply aren\'t used by most people at all-it would be like deciding the imperial system is completely unworkable because you don\'t know how many gallons are in a hogshead, or how many feet are in a furlong. The spellcheck doesn\'t even recognise \'decametres\' as a word, that\'s how rare it is.
  13. What makes \'this day and age\' any different from any other \'day and age\'? The rest of the world managed it, after all.
  14. I got 860m/s for escape velocity at surface-probably well below what an RCS-craft could do.
  15. Is that the pod-replacer cockpit? That\'s separate from the rest of the pack, and hasn\'t been updated for a while.
  16. It says that it needs at leadt 11x3-this was an experimental release, released before the official 11.1 release.
  17. You need the newest version-0.95 was quite a few updates ago.
  18. Assuming I\'ve not messed up my calculations, it should be about 860m/s.
  19. It is possible to take off from the water, but only by using an RCS powered craft-like so-
  20. If by \'around that time\' you mean nearly two decades later.
