  1. With more then 400,000 downloads of ALPHA build's I'm not sure that KSP needs help from exotic payment systems to attract attention. I'm gonna back away from this thread down though, Pointmanzero seems like an alt of someone to me.
  2. The skepticism I understand. The harshness that some people are responding to it, I don't get. EDIT: I guess that's just the internets for you. I already donated with USD via paypal, so the point's moot to me. I was just trying to point out the things that concern me about the whole bitcoin system. TIL a little bit about WTF bitcoins are and how they work. Thanks for that anyways, but I'm not gonna use any just yet, and I have no say in if KSP wants to take them.
  3. And cray supercomputers are now used as benches because laptops have more power then them. Famous last words said by every DRM scheme ever made. I'll accept bitcoin as valid currency if it can last at least 10 years. I just cannot believe it will not be hacked or abused.
  4. That's honestly even scarier. Next you'll tell me it's open source. Then someone will crack the hash and generate a billion of their own coins and destroy the entire market. I mean, you just said you print your own bitcoins, and you cant see how that could be used for teh lulz of crashing an economy?
  5. Because I broke a pin off a Pentium chip back in the days when they were hot stuff.
  6. What happens to all your real money if bitcoin goes 404? Not trolling, I just know nothing about them because honestly, I don't trust bitcoins worth a damn. I just think of the farmville like games currently being shut down and the companies saying 'Thanks for all the money, all your virtual cows no longer exist. get off my lawn' then I worry it will happen to bitcoin.
  7. I saw another set of images like this to 'commemorate' the end of the shuttle program. They were all committing suicide. http://www.wired.com/rawfile/2011/08/astronaut-suicide-photos-inspired-by-shuttle-programs-end/
  8. Theres some red ductape with instructions written in sharpie on it down below all the computer displays
  9. Same problem as everyone else. I got the notification saying thanks, and that i should get a pre-order in 24 hours. Also got a paypal note saying the order went through. Not sure if thats all I'm supposed to get or if I'm missing a confirmation e-mail. I checked my spam and trash folders for it as well.
  10. An E-800 engine, Sunday Punches large 1m fuel tank, 12 radial decouplers with bombs attached to them was my variant of this. Made for a great manned, orbit capable ICBM, that is surprisingly stable.
  11. re-download the game from the site, unzip it, and put it in a path like C:\KPS\ Windows 7 is weird about how it treats things placed in C:\program files\, sometimes placing files created by things in \program files\ to C:\users\username\appdata\ or something similar. I run my copy of KPS from a folder sitting on my desktop and it seems to work just fine. Also, when you are adding modified parts to \kps\parts\ make sure that there are no unnecessary sub-folders. EX: \KPS\Parts\sasModule\ NOT: \KPS\Parts\wobblyrockets\sasModule\ Extra folders seem to make the game lock up. Hope this helps.
  12. There are several applications that will help you calculate orbits by punching in velocity and apogee / perigee information. They will also display images of your orbit. There is nothing in the game yet that lets you display what orbit you're in. I use a java app called KSPCalculator. You can find it here on the forums http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/index.php?topic=562. There are HTML calculators as well.
  13. I switch around a lot, but here's my current desktop. Mike Conway crashing at the Indy 500 (don't worry he only broke his leg!)
