I have Steam for some games. I prefer to be patient, wait an hour or so to let the fuss die down, and use the store. Steam is too big a pain in the long run for something as fun as KSP.

1.) Re-entry that is more than cosmetic. 2.) Fairings and Drag. 3.) More and Different Parts. 4.) More places to go. In much that order.

Nope. They have said this ain't gonna happen so many times! The only reason they did let us know that today was release was to see just how much traffic their servers could handle.

The veggie-lovers might have to try something new, it seems.

THIS is a statement founded in wisdom. If you don't survive the burn, then it don't matter how 'efficient' it was. The Apollo 11 landing was hardly optimal or efficient; Armstrong said that it was typical to land their test lander on 15 seconds worth of fuel- the equivalent of 'landing on fumes.' Armstrong himself landed with about 25 seconds of fuel remaining. Don't be afraid to run your designated landing tanks absolutely dry if that is what it takes to get yourself to the deck safely and in one piece.

Same-same gents... the slowdown is MASSIVE, to the point of interfering with my ability to fly on occasion. Quad Core Athlon 620 Radeon 5700 x2 Crossfire It's not the system- KSP 0.19 worked fine.

Think I'll give this one a pass. I've always been a fan of Trek, and liked the first remake for what it was... a unique story with an original plotline- even if it was an impossible and unrealistic one (the whole 'cadets forced into action and one becomes captain' thing, not the 'spacehips and aliens' thing). Now that they have merely decided that they are gonna rehash the entire franchise, trying to remake every single movie with the same main characters, they have lost me. If I want Khan, the perfect one already exists.

Tried the 'Easter egg nose cone' on one... the fit was a bit tight... the puny A we were testing it with didn't have enough 'kick' to pop the chute out. The poor little paper towel tube body couldn't handle the pressure, though, and it had a 'spontaneous existence failure' about 50 feet up. Subsequent rockets used industrial grade cardboard rather than 'whatever was laying around.'

I did this as a kid too, and am also rediscovering it along with my father as he shows some of the youth at church how much fun it can be. We actually completely scratch-built many successful rockets using materials as simple as: strong cardboard, garbage bags, coke bottles, plastic caps from spray-paint cans, and PVC pipe. Our biggest one was almost 4 feet tall, had a 32 gallon trash bag as a parachute and a 3 liter cola bottle as a nose cap... it used D12 engines and survived a dozen launches or more before being retired. I love building them- so far I haven't built any mew ones, but I'd love to get back into it, money permitting.

EVERY new Version (not patch) is 'Fresh Start.' I don't transfer saves... too much trouble. Besides, it's fun to start from scratch- every new save is a lesson learned.

I love making flags... especially ones that actually obey vexillographic and heraldic conventions. There is literally no telling how many different flags I will use; especially if we can eventually have multiple 'careers' in the same 'universe.' I think it would be awesome to have a space race, even if I have to play both sides! My FIRST flag, though, without a doubt will be the 'Sun of Glory': Others that I will surely use, some original, some based on actual colors:

'Urban warfare jet'? No such animal. Aircraft are not an urban warfare tool. Aircraft are a multi-mission tool. Any light, maneuverable aircraft can fulfill the requirements of carrying munitions against an enemy in an urban environment; not all aircraft can fulfill the mission requirements of the F-35. So, you can buy TWO AIRCRAFT- a cheaper, less capable you need immediately, and an expensive, more capable one on down the road- or you can buy ONE AIRCRAFT that does both jobs to begin with. Additionally, having the hover/loiter capability makes the F-35 excellent in the close air support category... it can land and be fueled/armed near the front, drop light loads in support of troops for multiple sorties, then return to its base for maintenance. Also, unlike your cheap 'urban warfare' jet, the F-35 can perform a variety of CAP and OAB missions- less capable aircraft cannot. Additionally, these days, precision is largely a function of the munitions package itself rather than the aircraft dropping them.

My wife loves Windows 8. She also loves akashiyaki. Since I love her so much, I'll eat the bread balls with octopus inside... but if she tries to put Win8 on my box, she'll just have to go back and live with her mama. Even if the problem is 'just' the bad interface, it's still a big enough problem I won't use that version.

What's being an ass? You didn't read what I said right. I told you you didn't. Please, if you didn't order, don't post anymore. I made this thread to try and locate more people and see if their experiences were similar to mine, and perhaps drum up support for a united front to take to the Facebook page to try and get some answers. I didn't make it to argue about the issue with people that aren't involved and have no clue what is going on.

1.) The project was basically funded when I committed. I knew that it was a risk, and only pledged a week before close in order to minimize that risk. The company is apparently producing units, as several game magazines have reviewed the units. A random privileged few seem to be receiving them, in no rational order. 2.) Investors are NOT supposed to 'accept being screwed.' That ain't how it works. If you think it is, look at the large number of companies sued by investors- and who are forced to provide them with money or goods as a result- when the companies do not deliver. 3.) MONTHS are not 'short delays.' Be one, two or three months late on a bill and see if it is a 'short delay.'

Bandit, Random people seem to be reporting in. In my latest check, people- especially on the West Coast, specifically in Kalifornia- are reporting getting their emails at numbers as high as 10,000+. Others are stating that they have numbers as low as mid 500's and still haven't gotten a shipping notice. It's like they are just randomly sending things out IN SPITE OF DELIBERATE STATEMENTS THEY WOULD NOT DO THIS. So far, Ouya has proven to be then antithesis of Squad... maybe the guys at Squad should send their managers over to give classes on responsible startup ops? Person012345, The delay has been SINCE 28MAR13! THAT was the original promised ship date. Now they are saying we will get them NO MORE THAN TWO WEEKS before the retail backers... more than a month and a half after they promised. The truly galling thing is THEY DIDN'T GIVE ANY PUBLISHED NOTIFICATION THAT THE UNITS WOULD NOT SHIP UNTIL AFTER APRIL. In fact, they posted deliberately misleading info on their company website stating that pre-orderers should 'order now for shipping before the endof April.' You don't seem to really be following anything I'm saying.

Have YOU visited their site? In the last TWO DAYS backers AS LOW AS THE FIVE HUNDREDS have stated they have not yet received NOTICE OF SHIPPING... much less the units themselves.

It looked like a good idea- but it sure isn't turning out like that. The concept was sound and the idea was good- but the implementation sure has turned out to be an embarrassment.

It sounds like you have no idea what you are talking about. Hop on over to their Facebook page. They are claiming to have shipped '20% of the units' by the week before last... but backers well within that percentage ARE POSTING THEY ARE LYING. Don't talk about it till you know what's going on. I posted to see if anyone here was actually involved. If you are not, then please refrain from posting about things you are completely uninformed on.

And that, kids, is why businesses think they can walk all over investors. I'm not complaining- I am BEING LIED TO. I was promised a product by a certain date, which has been pushed back multiple times. I am receiving no customer service' to speak of, and no substantial updates on a process that has my money already committed. Is it unusual for a person to become frustrated, disillusioned and angry under those circumstances? I don't think it is; most of the Kickstarters are already upset... I'm a relative latecomer. I was promised the box before it was released to retail outlets (end of March/first of April originally), and am not being told that I will have it DAYS in advance instead of MONTHS in advance (end of May 'at the latest'). Squad did indeed have the right idea when they said to themselves 'small shop, small updates, small goals.' I admire them GREATLY for setting a realistic standard and laying forth things that their customers can expect in clear-cut terms. Ouya did not do that. Either from ignorance or greed, they decided to make grand promises... and now they must deal with the discontent of those they mislead.
