Hello everyone, It’s a very (very) old expression: “there is an end to everything, to good things as well”. It’s held true since it was first said, and it holds true for my time at Kerbal Space Program as well. Although I’ve always known that new things would come along, saying goodbye to a project I’m invested in as much as this one is never easy and never comes at an opportune moment. Just under four years ago I started posting on these forums, helping out in Support where I could, and creating some rudimentary support documentation. Not long after the request came to join the experimental testers, soon followed by one to become a forum moderator. Two years ago I was then given the chance to come on board officially at Squad professionally, working my way up from Lead Moderator - taking care of the forums only - to Community Lead and taking charge of many more aspects of the community as well as PR and marketing. There’s been a lot to learn along the way, and I’m especially proud of having been able to help guide the game through it’s official 1.0 launch. During this whole time the community never ceased to amaze me. Between forum posts, videos, livestreams, private messages, and any other avenue you can think of there was always something to brighten a day when working with you. I especially love reading about ways in which the game has touched people’s lives, and made them realize a previously undiscovered passion, or even inspired them to pursue a career or education in rocket science. Now it’s time for me to move on to new and exciting projects, but I could never forget the time spent here. I thoroughly enjoyed working with the developers, taking care of the community, and of course playing the game. I can only hope you manage to inspire Andrea and Daniele similar to how you inspired me. To go back to where this post started: there is an end to everything, to good things as well. Thank you all for being an amazing community, I hope you never stop being that. Feel free to poke me on the forums or on Twitter at any time, and you’ll definitely still see me visit a KSP livestream every now and then. Fly safe, Kasper

It might be if we enable the forum calendar, we'll have to look into it.
-
To clarify: KSP just entered experimental testing. The public pre-release is the next (and final) phase of testing before the update is released. We'll post the information on how to obtain the pre-release builds when they become available

Why is this game still on the market place?
KasperVld replied to ChillingCammy's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I can definitely understand your frustration, and we're working hard on getting a patch out - because we simply need to. A lot of what you say is true, people pay and expect a fully working game, but some of you are losing savegame data which ruins your gaming experience and that needs to be fixed. That said, I have to side with @Red Iron Crown here in that the forum rules still apply. There's currently no set release date for the patch - but we'll keep everyone updated as progress is made -
To clarify, the links to a particular download location, and the links to the download a 'contributors only' pack were removed for violating section 2.2i of the forum guidelines, which forbid links that are meant for personal profit of either party. These forums are not a monetisation platform, though we do allow donate buttons to be present, as long as it's perfectly clear that the mod is free and the donation is optional. Exclusive content for donators is therefore not allowed.

Hi Gordon, Apart from the main theme the music in KSP is sourced from Kevin McLeod's royalty free music. It seems someone tried to claim this music as their own, but it wasn't us. http://incompetech.com/music/royalty-free/most/kerbalspaceprogram.php

The Grand "Imgur albums/links are broken" thread.

Hopefully I'll have some time later today to look into this. -
I have no idea honestly. Will follow up with IPS.

Yes, the update has been applied now. Is the issue resolved?
-
I've just completed a small forum update. Does this issue still persist? If so, are there any special characters in your passwords, such as letters with Umlauts?
-
You create a tag by editing the OP, and once a tag has been added you can select it as the prefix for the thread
-
I'll be at Gamescom, but we don't have floorspace so you'll likely miss me

Congratulations to all the winners, and a huge thanks to everyone who participated!

The Grand "Imgur albums/links are broken" thread.
KasperVld replied to Bloojay's topic in Kerbal Network
I'll work on bringing it back later in the week. Changes on Imgur's end have made it so that the embeds are broken, and their new embed code doesn't seem to play nice with our forums. -
I've received a (speedy!) answer from IPS regarding this. It's a known issue that will be fixed in their next release.
-
I have no idea what would cause this issue. Do you have any screenshots available, and does it occur on any other browser?
-
Perhaps you can hook up your PC to your TV (HDMI cable or Steamlink or similar), and use the PS4 controller on your computer?
-
The main protection against double entries is that a Google account is required and the form can only be submitted once per Google account. I have other means of checking for duplicate entries, but I will keep those for myself. Those who enter more than once may be disqualified.
-
You'll have to upload it to an image host, most people use Imgur for that purpose: www.imgur.com. Once you do that, simply click the "insert other media" button in the editor and click "insert imagine from URL"
-
Ah thanks, it's a side effect of forum updates. I forgot to fix it. Will get that done now!

These livestreamers are part of either our Media Group, or stream on KSPTV. Send a private message to myself and @Badie if you wish to apply for either group Let me know if the problem persists later this week.
