Notification: Kethane Plugin has been donated to "Majiir" who has the development skills to develop Kethane. I'm not able for the task anymore and I prefere it to give it to somebody else then let it die and neglect it. He will make a new thread about it in the near future. He will be the new owner of Kethane (he will still get to me for advice time to time). I want to thank all the "fans" for supporting us and downloading all our pack. We recently reached the 26.000 downloads! Payload pack & Satellite pack will stay in this thread and I - might - continue on those instead of Kethane. -

I still haven't heard anything from kulesz yet . I will give it another week and then I will donate the kethane plugin to somebody who can take it over and develop it further. -

There is a sourcecode link on the main page. Currently I'm trying to get in contact with kulezs again (apparently he is reallllly busy). I'm going to scrap some ideas and just release a proper mod so the community can develop it further and use Kethane for their own rockets. Very maybe I will "donate it" but still have to consider that. Sorry it takes so long people. -

I didn't stop, other things have priorities and that counts the same for kulesz. And regarding priorities, they have a reason which remain private, but if I told you guys... then you would understand it. Family and work is just simply more important. -

Kethane is officially not supported for .17 but it works sporadically here and there. Kulesz has a lot of the code in place but he is simply not ready with it yet and his real-life has currently priorities. All I can say is you have to wait, in the meanwhile, I'm close to finishing another pack but with that, I'm also waiting for an update from 2 plugins. -

Yes, Jool is a Ketane Gas Giant in my eyes. I have to wait for some updates of 2 plugins before I can finish the new solar panels and batteries. -
Slowly but it is coming along, real-life jobs and studies of all the MMI peeps have priority atm as you can understand. Upcomming week I'm "free" and don't have freelance projects. I hope by then that I can give some nice updates.

I'm working hard along with Kreuzung to make these enery part to work. We are even adding custom icons in it but It isn't easy as it is bugged here and there. Also we need to poke Alchemist of Powertech to update his plugin so it can accept the new method of adding custom icons. Just have a bit of patience people... we are getting closer. Also want to thank pheonix_ca to help me out with the .cfg files in the limited time that I have. -
Hoping on here to clear the confusion that is not needed. First of all. Ask permission, not only is that kind to do, it keeps the developer on the other side active and know what to do and what the community is requesting. (I already knew I had to switch) Second. My Electrical Energy parts are currently in overhaul and already switching towards Kreuzung's Energy Plugin. It is just that my job is more important than modding (and that has obvious a priority). I've asked somebody else to do the .cfg file editing, testing & balancing (just putting a few numbers doesn't cut it) Third. I don't mind people doing CFG edits for themselves to make it compatible with the mods they downloaded. However I don't like it when it is released towards the public. The reason for that is, if somebody edits and CFG file and releases it, then people always go to the modder if something gets broken. It will be even harder to keep track of everything and have effective bugtracking because you never know what the person did. So if you want to edit cfg files, do it for yourself and your own "risk" Fourth. If you would like to see something changed then go on the forum thread of the modder and ask him friendly to change parts to support the game in overal better. It just takes time to change it or adjust it. Having updates everyday is something I do not choose for. I prefere a big amount of fixes in one update so people don't get confused what version they need to have. But thats every modder for himself to decide.

Regarding Solar Panels, I'm modeled (5) new ones + 2 batteries (and old Ion engine which will be replaced in the future), currently going trough a .cfg file edit. -

I'm going to try to release today a new pack which is based of the satellite pack. Which will be the electrical energy pack based of Kreuzung's energy plugin. Everything is almost finished, just need to code the .cfg properly. I'm giving this today a priority cause it seems loads of people are having problems with the solar panels and batteries. EDIT: I said today, but I'm not even sure if the plugin works in .17, lets hope so. -

Mod is obviously not ready for .17.. we are currently both busy with our fulltime jobs and both working more then 12h a day. But we are still working hard to get our full release of kethane. Please be patient. -

We are aware of the bug but it is sporadic. For me it stays and doesn't get removed and so it is for others. We hope to fix this issue with upcomming version. -

We will likely take a easier aproch and let the plugin generate it randomly for every single time a new experience when you start a new game.
