  1. Well, as people are still using this, I can certainly update it to fit in with the tech tree. I'm pretty sure our main 3D artist has moved on to other pastures, but I think Zitronen, our wheel specialist, still pops on now and again. So I'm not so sure about expanding this project much. My models don't match electricfox quality, and I would hate to ruin this for anyone. If anything, I would start a new rover project fixing mistakes made with rollkage (and introducing new mistakes no doubt!) I only have a couple of new parts that I have added but these have not been through the 'electricfox' process, and might not be up to the same standard as the rest of the parts. They look OK, but they might not be as low poly as they should be. I'll add them, add in tech tree stuff and release as soon as its ready. Thank you all for the kind words/suggestions. AngusMcBeth
  2. I had a problem like this yesterday Greys. I loaded a subassembly I had saved just a few moments earlier and it loaded upsidedown in the VAB. I can't replicate it though. I added the latest MJ and the new planets mod yesterday..I was assuming it to be related to one of these, but Im not sure.
  3. Brilliant! Does it handle terrain as intended? I'm amazed that people are still using this. Thanks for sharing SmiteZero.
  4. A command pod floatation device for a splashdown would be a nice addition to this pack. Tester here if required! I would like to see more added to this package...a custom command pod, solar panels and escape tower. The full monty! a complete system all in your style! Thanks for the great parts!
  5. This pack has been neglected a while, but it should work just fine. Any problems let me know and I'll have a look. I don't do wheels though....Zitronens the man for the wheels.
  6. Yep, nice work. The ability to control robotic parts precisely from a KOS program will add greatly to the KSP experience for me. Good luck with this. Will download on release.
  7. A set of programable robotic parts would be a cool addition to this mod, or a way to control the DR parts. Having great fun with this. Thanks!
  8. I think there is now a way to 'Bake' the command seat and the rollkage into one part. I will need to look into how to do this. If anyone has the know how, please mail me! or even better post here! Thanks:)
  9. Devo Wait and see....nothing like what you have done. 100% different! I promise.
  10. The Kerchelin Extremes look good scaled down....I think we should add a more 'spacey' type wheel in a more sane size, for the more serious player. I like the design of that military wheel with the hexagonal matrix instead of air.
  11. Darren, that makes you the official RollKage big air record holder! Very nice. Tell me more about your craft you used for this. Suggest some rules. 177m high from 64m = 113m!
  12. @Greys Unity+KSP would be a far more accessible world if they did some work with the way the colliders work, but there are probably a hundred good reasons it works the way it does that I just don't know about yet. Nice try with the ramps, show us your screenshots if you manage to get it all working!!!
  13. Yeah....the RollKage team have conquered gravity. It might not be to everyones taste, its sci fi its starwars landspeeder, eonar scout bikes tech....its an anti grav train through float city, next stop hoversville! Personally, I can't wait to speed across the plains of duna
  14. Brilliant! I have thought about making a set of basic parts to make a RollKage challenge before. The quality in the last few posts tells me I don't need to, but it might be cool if I do. Show me your stunts, ramps, halfpipes, loops, wall of death, etc.. I like high speed too....My best so far under normal gravity, 210ms before losing it and flipping out....driver deceased. Im sure I could have gone faster, just ran out of even ground....(I was also using our new top secret wheels - expect some news on that soon) Again, thanks for taking the time to post your screenshots, video, and brilliant creations. The RollKage Team
  15. Weapons, fancy wheel colliders, destructable terrain....these are all really nice....but all we really need is a halfpipe
  16. there are a few different ways we can go with the engine part, it depends on how some of the future parts we have planned end up. Thanks for all the feedback, videos and screenshots guys!
  17. Thanks GR00V3ST3R! Good luck with your collection pack. We are all delighted to have been asked!
  18. Very nice NoMrBond! Thanks for taking all the time to make your posts, we love to see what people do with these parts. 175ms on the ground...you beat me my 12ms!!, my best so far is 163....we have a very fast wheel planned for an update or maybe even a separate release which I think you will like!!
  19. Thanks for that Greys, I would like this pack to be as open to player customization as possible. We will look at this for the next update.
  20. I did notice that the wheels were the only parts that had been done that way. I will speak to the RollKage team and get a decision on this. Its all very much WIP Thanks for the feedback!
  21. I place my engine on the front tip (or back, for rear mounted engines) of the extender, then rotate inwards, you can place it inside the rollkage part and rotate outwards too.. I'll do a screenshot.
  22. Glad you are liking the new Kerchelin Technology wheels! Regarding the rtg part..I really liked the model ingame, but having said that, none of the RollKage crew have really had a chance to play much. Our main 3D artist, Electronicfox, makes low poly 3D models for industry, so you can be assured that it will not have an abnormal impact on your PC performance. I am sure you understand this as you mention that it is a fine texture that produces these ridges, and not the mesh. We will look at this Greys as we have some time to play for a while now. We might even offer an alternative as we are looking at different ways to use an engine style part. Thanks for the feedback Greys!
  23. If you mean the buggy below, then yes, that was my original model. It was on spaceport a short while. If you mean someone else has made a rollcage before, I couldn't find it, thats why I made one. We are adding new different parts too, and well on the way to making a complete rover...
